Rocco - look at image 7 from your pictures. The circle pull, shouldn't the gap be soldered together?? Also, shouldn't the "Chloe" embossed in the leather on the lock be centered? Of course, it could be the angle of the photo.

You need someone with a Tan paddy to compare. I'm no expert.

OKAY, HELP! i am so sad! I just called brown thomas in Ireland b/c it was the only place I knew of to buy a whisky paddington (finally got my money saved). THey sold out YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know where in the world I could find a Whisky Paddington??

ilovepositano - the colour's more grey than blue IRL.. the flash made it baby blue i was worried that it wouldn't match my wardrobe but, i manage to buy more clothes to match it.. hehee

I wonder if you kind ladies would take a look at my recent purchase from eBay - when I opened it I immediately thought it was real . . . no I KNEW it was real but then recently somebody emailed me about the zipper tops. Now the doubts start seeping in.:

The leather on the whiskey paddy is rough and almost has a painted on finish.

Interesting! I have a whiskey and the leather is perfect and gorgeous. However, I also had a Tan from 06 and I felt the exact same way about the finish! It looked painted on and the color was awful. I guess there really are quite a few differences between batches. I was so disappointed in Tan but I really think I got a reject bag.

1. The cream (off-white) paddington from ss 2005? Were the colour & leather similar to this seasons one?
2. Has Chloe actually made a khaki (dark green) paddington. ebay 6849362334
3. when did this seasons cream paddy come out for sale in the chloe boutiques?

I really love this bag, just got it, but before I start using it would like some opinions on it. It's the large zippy which measures 17" wide.

I really love the large tote as well and not sure which one I would like better. The tote is more "squarish" and the zippy is more "longish"

Alejandra, I think I've seen those on LVR but I don't think they call them the zippy. I prefer the zippy over the tote. The zipper is eyecatching and I like how its still in the "traditional" shape of the Paddy but I suppose it depends on how they both look on. I've never seen either one in person.

mammab, in a vacuum I like the shape of the zippy better (the shape of the tote is a little square and ordinary), but it would be helpful to see it worn. from the pics on lvr the large zippy is really wide, so my answer depends on how it looks on you.

Yeah, that's what is drawing me to the zippy is that the tote, is infact, rather ordinary and the zippy has a beatiful elegant charm to it. I think it's the bottom zipper that does it and the overall shape. Plus, I like the bottom compartment. I can keep all of my toddlers things in there and out of the way from my stuff. But then again, the tote has so many pockets as well. I feel myself leaning towards the zippy.

I know, the bag looks HUGE on LVR. Definitely doesnt look that way on me, I am 5'7, almost 5'8. I'll have to take some pictures, but I look terrible right now. Just woke up after a sleepless night next to snoring factory hubby.

I just got that "zippy" bag as well (from nordstroms) I like it because it fits easily over the shoulder and generally looks good. Negative aspects are that the top of the bag is not that "deep" because of the zippy portion underneath and it is sort of wide (I'm 5'6" so it looks ok in proportion). I'm not sure how useful the bottom compartment is going to be - you can't really get anything out of it unless you put the bag down and unzip the bottom. For that reason alone, I think the tote may be more practical. BTW - I also saw these bags at Neimans.

Mammab - just read your post! Funny how we both have different opinions on the bottom part! But, I can see how if you have kids, that part could be useful.
