Ack, I really need to get my shopping under control. I just received an phone call from a high end boutique in Chicago who had the whiskey and ivory paddy in stock (I was on a call list). So I couldn't help myself and ordered the whiskey paddy, a tan Silverado tote, and a Chloe shirt. The store owner was so nice. When I told her about my concerns about the lock peeling, she said that 1) she hadn't heard of any problems with the lock, but 2) she would exchange the lock for me for the lifetime of the bag, and even paddies that I hadn't even bought with her, she would be willing to take care of the lock problem. What great customer service!

BTW, if anyone is looking for the Betty bag, they have it in stock (Edith is all sold out), have the tan, whiskey, chocolate brown, and ivory paddies in stock, and the whiskey and chocolate brown bowler as well. How exciting; did you have it authenticated before purchasing?

If you need opinions post the auction # before you pay - would be such a shame for a good deal to turn into a fake-a-roo.

I think it´s good that the seller has a lot of positive feedback and shes operating a full money back guarantee, if not satisfied.

From the pictures that are posted on ebay, the bag looks fake. The leather is way too stiff. Also there is no way you can get a real Paddington for that price. I would suggest that you ask for your moeny back.

Lauriza - contact paypal and get your $ back; Chloe bags are never wrapped in plastic (the handles) the key is way too shiny, the size looks too small, the leather too stiff, and she excludes a lof of "money" shots. Also, you can't get a real paddy for less than it's retail (very rare to do so).

plastic on the handles is your first clue to fake.

Sorry - I do hope you can resolve this quickly.

Ok, I sent her an email, asking my money back, because she promised a "100% authentic bag", which it obliviosly is not. She hasn´t answered yet. I understand she has been very cooperative etc, so i really hope she is just paying back, as she promised "I OPERATE A FULL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF MY CUSTOMER IS NOT 100% HAPPY!!!"
I tried to look at paypal, but couldnt find any way to cancel the payment.

Oh gosh i´m so naive, just because someone says "sorry for the bad pic quality" i trust them about the authenticy.

If someone who is more experienced with paypal could PM me, I´d be very thankful.

Email paypal with the item number now. They take fakes seriously. Tell them you have been told by somebody working for Chloe that without doubt this bag is fake. They will contact the seller, and if she has any sense, will refuse your payment and you will have it refunded.

I know you are a student, but you will NEVER get an authentic paddy for less than 700 pounds. Its a fact, even the used ones go for this price. There are so many unscrupulous people out there, I really hope you get your money back. The bag you have purchased is worth 10 dollars. these people make me so angry

Well, they are very different bags, so it completely depends on what you are looking for. It is not yet known yet whether the paddy will stand the style test of time, or if we will start to tire of them (I have already, I am sorry to say), but many people love them. The Chanel chain bag, is a much more classic, but grown up bag, and really can be used year in year out. Its a proven classic.
Go with your heart though, you have to carry it

Did you pay by credit card?? If so, you can call your credit card and have a charge back placed on the transaction. If you didn't use a credit card, your best bet is to contact Paypal. Ebay won't help you- they really could care less about fraud. They just want to make money through people selling on their site. Contact your CC or Paypal. You will get your money back! It has happened to me!

i was in ur shoes once. but with a choice between blue clair paddy and double flap lambskin chanel. but couldn't make up my mind so i got both! they are really very different bag. one's a casual look and the other's a chic/evening look. i've got a pic of them side by side somewhere.. i'll find it by this afternoon n i'll post it here.

OMG, I did it! I preordered a paddy from LVR! After much runaround, someone at Visa thru my CC (not my bank, they couldnt do anything) got the authorization to go through. He sounded doubtful that it would work but the purse gods must have taken pity on me.

Has anyone had sucess checking the 'status' of their order through sella.it banca online? Got an email from them saying I could but uh.. I can't read Italian. Was just curious to the kind of info they give.

Yay! Congrats! Good luck with that sella.it site. When I had ordered something and went to that page, I used a page translator and turns out you have to register first. Well, I tried registering with the page translator on and I gave up out of frustration. It was somewhere between having a hard time picking out my country from the list which was labeled as "state" and the form not submitting properly was when I said "screw it".

nawth21 - congrats!! hope that's the last of ur troubles. i've experienced that n didn't know i had to register i send the CC 3 times n was refused LoL.. n then the fourth time i forgot the password i registered with although i did it a minute before.. yea i'm that forgetful but it all just goes away once u receive the paddy
