^^^ yes, my SA at Nordies told me that there will be another price hike on new Chloe; I believe it was $1560 for the non-metallic paddies starting in March.

Yep - you're right - raising them again. An SA from Nordies called to tell me what new colors they were getting in and when she said $1540 (at least that's what she told me), we were trying to figure out if that was a new style paddy or just a price increase for the satchel - we pretty much determined it was just another price increase.

Hi Daisy - I tend to agree - I've owned a paddy large travel bag in the tan and this is just as nice. Actually nicer since its way smaller.

I'll dig out that email again. It was a kind soul I could tell. Just concerned.

With use I'm sure the handle texture will become more consistant with each other. Possibly the same for the bottom. Just squish it to death lol

The different textures are normal characteristics of Chloe bags. Both my Whiskey and Tan satchels have the same variations in texture on the handles. My Chocolate satchel has same textured handles, but the front piece of leather is smoother and less pebbled than the back piece, which is very pebbled. I love the variations; it only adds to the authenticity.

As for the price increase, let's get this straight: Chloe cheapened the hardware since last seasons bags yet hiked the price not once, but twice. I think I need to find a new bag to lust over, LOL.

I got a Betty today. Will post more in the Other Chloe Bags thread. It's so my style, but I'm trying to justify the price tag. Will I look at Betty a year from now and still love her like the Paddingtons? It's such a cute little bag with all of the detail.

I love the variations; it only adds to the authenticity.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I had the opportunity to look at a brand new shipment of a lot of Paddys they were just unpacking at one point and intensely disliked the ones with uniform texture throughout - they looked fake! They had a "pleather" look and seemed almost as though they could be a knockoff or in any event - "any" other bag. The inconsistency and variation totally contributes to the bag's uniqueness IMO.

Oh - and Mammab - I love your Zippy. It's just beautiful. I'd keep that one instead of the Tote if you can handle the length (which it seems like you can, because you're tall.) It just seems to be a little more interesting shape than the Tote.

I envy that you have a lot of stores to choose from, all I have is Holt Renfrew and they only get very few in. If I order from abroad then I pay too much in duties and taxes

Hi, I'm new to this thread, but have read most of it! Have a cream paddington already from last season. Went to collect my whiskey paddington yesterday and left it behind. The leather wasn't very soft at all - it didn't slouch like it should and it was far more "orangy" than previous bags I had seen. Didn't like it at all. Had my heart set on it so didn't want to get a noir, blanc or teal blue. There was 2 other whiskey's there on hold for other people - all same texture. Pretty disappointing that even the colour was off as well as it not being soft enough! Having waited so long I was now thinking of getting the tan mini paddy from NAP. the pics of the whiskey bags i've seen before are so much nicer than the one I saw IRL yesterday.

IMO.. pics on websites don't do the bags much justice. the paddy that u saw instore is pretty much the colour that's available. it should be the same on NAP too. so, what u see in store is what u'll b getting fr NAP. hope that's not to disappointing to hear. but IMO, i do love the whiskey colour.
