Regarding the YKK issue, I don't see YKK on any part of my zippers. Mine has the 10 digit serial #, is this normal for the '06 bags? I'm curious as to why there is so many discrenpancies with the hardware. TIA! :)

I purchased my Paddington from Bloomingdale's, and it doesn't have YKK on the zippers either.

Also, is the strap version exactly the same as the regular satchel size-wise? Does it look like the regular one when you take the strap off, or is there some extra hardware? Rocco's pix looks like there is an extra buckle on the sides, which would make sense...
Mundo- Woo-hoo!! Glad to see you didn't have to surf NM 24/7 to see a Tan pop up:D Yes, the NM photo with the shoulder strap is Whiskey but the stock is Tan (wassup with that??) I was expecting Whiskey to show up when I got mine!
Yes, there is an extra buckle on each side to attach the strap but otherwise it is exactly like the satchel. I'll attach another photo. The extra $145 certainly makes you go Hmmmm if you don't think you'll use it.

mammab - The strap feels great and fits well - gives a schoolgirl, messenger bag look. I think there is at least one notch to adjust but in general is pretty darn long (I'll check tonight, and there's one listed on ebay now that shows the strap more). The strap does tend to pull the sides up so the bag takes on a crescent shape when worn, and since the strap is so large it doesn't hang well if it's attached but you just use the handles - so you should commit to how you're carrying it when you set out for the day. And I'm concerned about the single rivet handling the load - I think they should have made the attachment at the top of the bag rather than towards the bottom. BUT I still think it is one darn handy bag! AND if Chloe's customer service is ALL THAT, then I hope perhaps they'd replace the bag with a NEW ONE if the rivet ever pulls out!!^_^Is that unrealistic?

Ditto handbagaddict - YKK appears to be on different places or none at all.

Mundo - one last thought - I bet there will be plenty of opportunities to reconsider the Tan w/strap due to people returning expecting Whiskey!

missbradshaw - cutie bag! Gamya's sis should def go 4 it :p

Gamya - what's the item number of that mini? Just so we can look at the sellers history. I don't have a mini, but the bag looks OK from those piccies.

Here's a closer pic of the brown gals on the -seat!

You must keep the tan. It is the perfect shape/leather! Try to convince hubby you need the Whiskey too, or the Blue so you can have a spring bag and fall bag (although tan is year round). Nice to have you on this thread!! :D

Womanolo - its my bag

Are fakers even faking minis yet? The larger the bag, the bigger the scam :-(

Looks perfectly authentic to me.

Just an FYI that I decided to return my new chocolate satchel to Nordstrom in San Diego - it is on the way back. This one is the new leather but more of a true dark brown, and it has a perfect lock! If anyone is interested I will put you in touch with my s/a, as I am sending it to her attention. She can hold it for you. There are pictures in this thread; just need to locate the page. It's a beautiful bag despite the new leather. I would have kept it if I didn't have my AW05 chocolate and new chocolate Bowler, but I am looking forward to the credit on my charge to make room for Roxeanne.

Yeah it really is - I drew the pic in the background for my degree...

Wow - that's really cool. Can we see the rest of the piccy? (I know nothing to do with Paddy's, but anyway).

I have been going over my new Paddy with a fine toothcomb - not in case it's fake but just looking at it in the flesh instead of through a lens like for the last year. Where the leather joins on the padlock the four corners are screwed down but the screw heads aren't covered like on the metal plates. Is this normal? Would looking at the back of the padlock be a good way of telling a fake - eg if you e-mailed an e-Bay seller and asked for more photos?
