Well, now the 2nd whiskey paddington has arrived (with key!) and one can go back. The key works in both locks.

The only difference I can see after looking and looking is that #1 has slightly softer, thicker feeling grips on the handles, and the leather on the grips is somewhat larger grained (more like the body of the bag than the rest of the handle).

Anyone have a paddington handy to look at? Are the grips on your handles very smooth leather or more grained?

I tried to sell my anthracite paddy with the same result; I decided to just keep and use it. I remember reading about people who wanted one and wondering why they didn't want mine. No biggie, LOL; since I am glad I kept mine now.
I wish I had the funds for a tan one - but, I got bit by the balenciaga bug and it has sapped me.

Were you asking 05 retail for your tan paddy Morriseel?

That bug can be pretty nasty!!!! Well, maybe I should just take it out of the cupboard and use it...though now I see that Miss Bradshaw had some success with her mini... i don't know.

Anyway, I was asking $1200usd, which is about retail, but actually less than what I paid for it in Singapore (they are always slightly more there). I originally had it for sale with the matching shoes...everyone just wanted the shoes! Geez...fickle!

On my Paddy the grips on the handles are made of waaaay smoother leather than the actual bag. It'll make them easier to clean, thank god.

$1200 is very fair for the paddy..I am surprised that no one bought it - if you don't want to use it perhaps you should list it again.

I think our biggest obstacle when we want to sell a paddy is convincing people we have the real deal - there are so many fake paddies on Ebay, it really is hard to know who to trust.

My chocolate Bowler arrived! Here she is, with me and on her own. She is going to spend the night bonding with her satchel sisters. She arrived not only in her original Chloe box, but also with a protective slip on her lock, which has no peels or chips. I her!!

Thanks! And to Daisy and SoCal too!! I have her all packed for work tomorrow and she's just too cute. I'll try to get a family photo over the weekend once she has had more time to bond with her sisters.

I know I've said there is no such thing as a perfect lock, but these are as close to pristine as I've had with no obvious chips, peels, dots, discolorations, etc. The boxes are usually included with website preorders as they don't get unpacked upon arrival to the warehouse; instead they ship directly to the customers who have preordered the bags. The stores themselves upack the boxes in their distribution centers then send them out (in bulk) to the stores. This is what I was told by a Neimans s/a. She thinks the bags are piled on top of one another for shipment to the individual stores (from the distribution center) where they become damaged during shipment. This doesn't explain the peeling locks - that is poor workmanship on Chloe's part.

I have tried to sell an 05 brand new tan paddy on Ebay for over 3 months and no takers! I guess there's so much fakery that people are reluctant to bite even though I have perfect feedback. Im just wondering at this stage if I should keep it as a collector's item anyway. Shame for it to sit in the cupboard going unused but I never intended to keep it, just sell it on, so I would feel guilty about using it!

So, I guess Ebay is perhaps your last resort, but real ones do pop up!!

Hey there...does your 05 tan paddie have ykk on the zippers and a serial number in the inside pocket? Is it a mini or is it the medium size? THanks!

That's odd since i pre-ordered mine from Neiman's and no box!!! But my lock is pristine. Go figure!

I have a question for those of you who have preordered bags from LVR and have already gotten them. Did they send you any email notification when the bags arrived or did they just ship it out and send the tracking info?

LVR sent me the tracking info as soon as they've shipped it out. hope u've received it by nw

I own a blue moyen and I actually think that the bronze hardware is awesome. Since I got my bag, I have bought 4 pairs of bronze/gold shoes, sandals and slippers (including a pair of gold Birkenstock), so I can match my bag!

great idea! thank you!!! i'll start looking for bronze gold shoes fr now on.. i think that's y i feel something's not rite when i use my moyen .. hehee.. will give it a try!

But NM has an arrival date of 03/06 (when at first it was feb 22) so maybe thats when stores are getting another batch. Or maybe its just wishful thinking and with my luck it'll come in the 31st

ps.. does anyone have this umm.. not really a problem but sorta wear on the paddy. the piece of leather stitched on the paddy that holds the lock - the leather on the sides of that piece has really gone very very extremely soft compared to the rest of the paddy. is it normal??
