Well I'm pretty sure I'll be returning the blue claire satchel to Nordstrom this weekend (pretty sure=when, not if...I think!) :cry:

I've got one and carried it with the strap... I think it's pretty cute and handy, but I'm still nervous that the connection isn't strong enough. Not 100% sold. What exactly were you wondering?

I bought a Tan one with shoulder strap over nm.com but I returned it. Because when I used the strap, the bag is kind of tilt forward and the two sides are lifted up because of the straps. So the paddy lost its shape. Even though I love how versatile it is, but I just didn't feel confortable to see distorted paddy on me. :rolleyes:

Yeah, mine pulls up on the sides too, but I haven't noticed the tilt. I couldn't understand their engineering putting the attachments at the bottom of the bag, and I didn't care for how the straps scrunched underneath the side buckles, so I thought I'd engineer it better - and I reattached the straps on the outside of the side buckles, only to watch my paddy roll over in a complete belly-up!!

That's why I'm no engineer either!!

I think the strap suits a purpose but I don't see using it on a regular basis...

Can someone PLeAse offer me their opinion on this. i want to bid on this silver paddy on ebay- I love the purse but really can't afford retail. Can someone please tell me if it is fake?? I DO NOT want to buy a fake chloe!!

Crazy day

...lunchtime NAP success (finally) :blink:

...midafternoon visit to physician to figure out allergy that resulted in my eyelids turning red and flaky (what!) :blink:

...get home (exhausted) and see FedEx tag hanging on my front door :blink:

...drag my tired and slightly obsessed a** to FedEx to retrieve package... :blink:

Received noir zippy from NM. I have to say, I was stunned.

First, I received the bag a day early. Second, a NM SA has never sent me a more carefully wrapped bag (large box, tremendous amount of paper packing, gold foil box inside, extensive paper packing around bag).

So, here she is (with whiskey "sister")...will inspect over the next 2-3 days...

Flutie - I'm no expert and have never seen a metallic IRL so hopefully someone who knows more will come along.

That said, the brand new ID with zero feedback from Hong Kong...hmmm, that would make me hit the back button whatever the price and wait for another bag to come along.... Good luck!

SoCal - I have to comment on the red, flakey eyelids allergy! This cropped up on me twice in the past and the doc knew it was an allergy but we never determined to what! The first time, plain old Eucerin cream from the jar cleared it up, but the second time I needed to apply a steroid cream. I hope you are cured soon!

I love the Noir Zippy, even better than the Whiskey. Do you plan to keep both? The Noir looks fab in the Zippy style. What was your first reaction after you "came to" from seeing the meticulous packing job?

which do you all prefer?

the GRENAT (wine red) or the new Blanc (creamy white) . . .

FedEx is coming tomorrow to pick up the grenat hobo I got, I LOVE the leather but not crazy about the color -- but maybe this color will be more practical than the Blanc in the long run?

I just love the Blanc -- esp. w/the gold hardware. So classy, elegant, etc.

But the leather on the grenat is TO DIE FOR. I have to say, that it reminds me of the fendi spy leather -- very pebbly, soft, light and 'airy' !!

SoCal -- I definitely love the Whiskey! But I agree w/Roey -- how did you feel about it after you got through the packaging???

I like them all, but the grenat is an eye catching color

I'm so sick of waiting. My bag is somewhere between CA and MN, my wallet is somewhere over the Atlantic and no one wants this damn Noir and LVR STILL hasnt emailed me with a return # :angry:
