funny story...tonight I saw the girl who owns the first "paddy" I had ever seen in real life, who sort of made me want one more, and lo and behold, now that I know a lot more about them....she has a fake!! all along I thought about her and her beautiful paddy, and it was fake!!

Hi, everybody :flower:

I was just wondering what is the difference between the craie and blanc??

I know is a similar colour... but could you please give me some opinion about those 2 colours of which colour looks better?

Thanks!!! :p

gamya - thank you so much for your pics! Hmmm...the color of the bag in the pic that the seller posted seems to be closer to the banana color in your photos than what I have in hand. But the actual bag I received is more orangey in color...

glitterdoll - yeah, I'll try contacting the seller. I had such a hard time getting a refund from her when I thought the bag was lost. I swear, if it wasn't because it was impossible to get a tan paddy here, I wouldn't have resorted to ebay. I tried looking out for signs like 100% feedback (she had 200+) and the price point.... I just fell for the BRAND NEW TAN paddy with all the ORIGINAL PAPERS AND RECEIPT part.... darn, now I lose out on delivery cost both ways as well as taxes if I did a return..... :(

glittterdoll - I don't know whether you've had lots of experience on ebay. The seller did mislead me by advertising that her bag was brand new with tags, original papers and receipt. Assuming the bag is real, is there an avenue for dispute because the bag has been used - loose stitching (not major ones), "recoated", one or two studs that are totally black (no brass coating anymore) plus it never came with the promised tags or original papers. I just feel so cheated in that even if I ask for a refunded, I lose out on things like postage both ways.

hey!

im new here. just wondering how big the stamp on the padlock is? is the chloe large or small? could some post a authentic pic? also what are the main things to look for in a fake or what should an authentic have?

thankyou.
tinka.

Shyshy, All of those reasons you mentioned are biggies that scream "REPLICA". An authentic purse would not have the stitches getting loose or loose any of the coating. I am amazed that the selling has 100 % positive feedback. Maybe she has returned items rather than get negative feedback. Is there a store near you that you could get a sales manager to compare your purse to an authentic? Have the manager look at it.
I am familiar with ebay. But since both of you have completed the sale/feedback, there probably isn't much they can do about the sale. Someone else might know more about that than me.
If I were you, I would : 1. email the seller and tell her your concerns.
Give her a chance to respond to you. Regardless if she responds or not I would 2. Contact your credit card company and tell them you were sold something that was fraud and you want your card refunded.
I wouldn't send the purse back to the seller UNTIL you get your refund THEN mail the purse back.
The seller should understand and comply with this. BTW, How much was the first bid and what was the final sale?

Thanks glitterdoll. I did go to the department store (the only place that sells Chloe bags around my area) to compare the bag, but the paddy that I compared it to was in Taupe (east west style). I could not notice any key feature difference between mine and the one in the store, except for the things I mentioned - zippers that cannot be undone, the "coat of paint", much duller looking hardware in certain places (almost rusty and grey) and some loose stitching. Someone did say that their zippers do not come undone either.... maybe the earlier versions did not. The Taupe paddy key could open my lock, but my key did not exactly fit the padlock of the taupe paddy.

I am starting to think it is genuine but it's just a used one. I definitely paid over US$1000 for it assuming it was brand new.... :(

Did you ask the sa if they thought it might be fake? There are obvious differences between fake/auth paddingtons especially when compared side by side. So if you didn't see much difference then you probably got a used one.

Either way she sold it with a misleading description which ebay will back you up on if you want to return it.

hey i have a chloe paddington the off white one
just got a quick question
is it actually called off white, cream, ivory or what so many people call it different things

Look on the round hang tag. The color is listed on there. I've seen the off white listed as Craie and Chalk. I have a cream color and it was listed as Natural. So I guess it depends on the season you bought it.

Shyshy, just an fyi, my anthracite paddy zips are very easy to undo, sometimes they come undone by themselves. Now my whiskey paddy has very stiff zips incomparison. I almost have to struggle to get them open. Both bags have been used about the same amount.

Hi, I've been reading previous posts and I keep coming across Chloe Bahrain.. do they really sell paddys for a cheaper price? do they have an online website?
thanks!

Thanks you guys.

aspen - the sa did not seem to think mine was not genuine. Of course I did not empty my bags and ask her to do a full examination inside out. When she was showing me the taupe paddy, she touched my paddy and the taupe one to compare the softness of the leather (the one I received was a bit stiffer, probably because of that extra coating)....even then she was talking about my bag as if she thought it was authentic. So I think it is real, just used.

sunspark - It's not the stiffness of the zippers that concerned me. It's the fact that all the paddys in the stores have external zippers that can come undone on the sides to create a larger opening, whereas the one I received cannot be undone....

just wanted to post this new color paddington. the described it as yellow beige but i think it's the same as gamya's banana. picture from aloharag.com and they still have some in stock for those who might be interested:flower:

I'm seeing paddys everywhere now and I can't help but wonder if they are fake. In my opinion the real ones look pretty fake to me. I've touched the newest releases and they are pretty bad. They aren't as soft and lucious as the first paddys that came out.
