Chloe S/S 08 Paris

it's just... cold
i agree.. i think though if they changed the lighting, set, etc it would look so much nicer! a few of the pieces aren't bad - although i seem to think everything looks good on Magdalena:lol:
the shoes make me want to barf though:D

that's really nothing special, but boredom seems to be a major trend for the incoming season :innocent:

I really think you should give the poor guy a break. He has been at it for what - a whole of 2 seasons! Give him a moment to find his feet. Taking over the reigns at a house as popular as Chloé, that has become so synonymous with one particular look, can’t be easy.

Personally I really like this collection, it’s fresh and fun and I think he does layered transparency very well. I don’t think it’s that Marni either. As Zazie said Marni is seldom about flowy dresses and layers of chiffon, it’s far stiffer. I like his attention to detail and the way he talks about designing his clothes as sculptures that a garment should be just as interesting from the back and the side as it should be from the front.

And can I just add that I think the girls looked absolutely beautiful at this show^_^

idk, I like the cuts, but the tons of random color splashes on a few of the pieces annoys me.

Where did you hear him say this ? :o

I dont like it at all...this is just sooo wrong on so many levels...

I have mixed feelings about this.... I usually love Chloe .. .

...Everything looks so unlike Chloé. To me, Chloé was at it's best when Phoebe reigned.

i smell trouble for chloe

Now that the US economy is entering recession people wont be spending as much , and if they do it will be on something which is a stand out. At Chloe , most of this stuff is cold , not cool , but ICY cold , I understand he is trying to do something different but his clothes lack the french joi de vive which chloe clothes had , surprisingly Stella Mccartney captured it , and she is a very smart woman ,she knows that the old chloe girls who loved phoebe are looking to fill that void , and Stella will capture that customer who loves that undercurrent 70s aesthetic which phoebe philo embodies and which Stella is now luring in and cashing on . Another thing Chloe is about trendy fast moving accessible fashion which is copied by the masses , basically "it" girls ,

I love the color palette, and while I think that the presentation is a little awkward, the pieces will probably look very cool on the right girl if she decides to carry them with a bit more glamour than what is shown.

It ain't Chloe as we know it, but with time it will be. People weren't that crazy about Phoebe after Stella's reign either.

a supernerd in charge of making clothes for it girls .............as catryn horyn best put it square peg in a round hole. But he seems really shy and timid.
