I have been waiting for this show whole week. And now i don't know what to think of it:shock:. Some pieces are beautiful, but most of them are not so good:ninja:.

Yes, it's a little Milan. Yes, it's a new look for Chloé. But, it's on-trend, and a lot of it is ridiculously pretty. I'm rooting for Paulo.

the first 2 looks are OK , but the rest seems washedout and those tacky prints are not helping

thank you for all pics of the whole collection
i am not impressed :ninja: but some pieces are beautiful and cute
in my opinion, the collection 's more womanly than last season
but too bad it's not my favorite show  he disappoints me again :(

Last season's Chloe was so badly bashed on tfs, yet net-a-porter and Barney's are now featuring it in a big way, and it's influenced a number of SS08 collections, from COS to Martine Sitbon. No one complained that it wasn't gorgeous, just that it wasn't "Chloe"! Well, when Nicholas G started at Balenciaga with the surreal frills and feathers, it wasn't Balenciaga either. Or Galliano's early days at Dior. Or Mccartney at Chloe. I'd rather judge the designer by his/her talent than by some idea of a particular "style" the house is supposed to produce into infinity.

I would have been curious to see if he is capable of leading into a new and prescient direction this season, something new and unexpected, even the coming look for FW08, but it seems he's caved in to a half-baked chiffony version of Chloe and those paint strokes. Some nice pieces here and there, but just not the same powerful coherence and energy he produced last season. I hope he gets a stab at the next collection with a bit more confidence and support!

Yes, i agree on everyone that said that it looked too much like marni. for a second there, i thought i was on the marni thread! It's Cute & Girly but it's definately not chloe :flower:

Actually, I think some people did (me, for one. Although, I posted on the thread recently; not just after the show).

I quite liked the line drawings, but that was about it.

I disagree with your last example - McCartney's designs always looked sufficiently 'Chloe', to me. :)

No one's suggesting that there should be no change, or room for the designer's personal vision; but if a designer only wants to project their personal vision, or that vision doesn't integrate well with the aesthetic of the house they design for, they have problems.

BTW, I don't so much blame Paulo for this, I blame the guy who employed him (whose name escapes me).

I'm not sure what I think about the collection as a whole, but the subtle grunge is quite beautiful.

There are a few pieces I like, but I still miss Philo in a big way.

With respect, considering what he produced last season and for Resort, I would say that this is pretty much meeting expectations, not breaking them. :)
but its still quite different from what chloe usually produces
im talking about his vision as a whole
i think its refreshing

hmm... i saw the first page and was like:blink::(
a few pieces are cute... a couple of the darker ones. i'm not feeling the Chloe vibe at all though:cry:
for me they peaked, in terms of clothes and accessories, in Fall 2006:blush:
