Christian Dior Haute Couture F/W 2013.14 Paris

The background images were all shot this morning by Terry Richardson, Paolo Roversi, Patrick Demarchelier and Willy Vanderperre.
And the soundtrack seems to be Kanye West..?

^Yes, it's Kanye.

he seems so desperate to be modern but to me it just ends up looking weird, i'm glad he finally casted some black girls though

I'm not liking this at all. I thought it'd been moving in the right direction the last couple seasons, but this is a major step back. Very heavy and thrift-shop-ish. It's all over the place. Very incoherent. They were trying to use every technique/shape/color combo/fabric they had and ended up with a bunch of nonsense. Not to say there aren't any good pieces. There are. But overall, a terrible collection.

some pieces are good and gorgeous, the others not just bad but also can make you feel uncomfortable....

Interesting. Some pieces are really good, but unfortunately, as always, some bad looks are throwing me off, he should still be working on editing.
The most exciting thing here, and I don't think anyone has mentioned, is I'm seeing at least 2 models of color which is GREAT.
I guess his been listening to the critic.

Still not loving it. The collection is all over the place, some good and some bad and I see some references towards other designers! That's not good at all. Some looks are too conceptual. It doesn't work as a whole.

I would definitely consider this an improvement but at least half of it is still an awkward mess. And most of the clothes, as interesting as they are, are still ugly. But there is an idea or two here worth fleshing out.

I can pretend to be interested that he's repeating certain motifs and ideas from previous collections, as if to establish the houses's new codes, if those new codes happen to be tortured, turbid, and discombobulated. Doubt they are.

This was a wonderful collections, I'm very happy with the casting (some color, finally)

I loved a lot of the dresses,

Another hot mess. Honestly...the more collections he produces at Dior, the more I feel confirmed that he is such an awkward and uncomfortable fit here at the house. His values simply do not align with the romance and exuberance the house of Dior stands for - and his attempts to address that romance and exuberance are so, so ill-conceived and, as Mutterlein described, tortured, turbid and discombobulated.

And once again, the more I think about it, the more I feel a pit in my stomach that Olivier Theyskens is not here - designing for Dior.

What an eyesore. It's not even funny anymore.

I like the overall feel of the collection, some beautiful pieces here and there but it looks very near to Armani Prive

It's the saddest collection I ever saw at Dior.
Definitely, Raf Simons is not made for Dior HC, isn't her strongest point , it's noticeable...

I cry to remind Galliano. So injuste

The casting was great, the collection was very Armani/Celine at times and I've yet to be impressed by Dior under Raf Simons

I'm so confused by this collection. Some of it i LOVE (it's a few looks, but i truly adore them), some i don't really understand, and certain looks are downright ugly as sin. it's just... all over the place, with more lows than highs. i... don't get it.

I dont see why everyone is calling this an Armani knockoff. This looks like PURE Dior, I be if I looked in the CD archive I would find exact pieces in this collection........some of you need to do some research before making these accusations.

Those dresses are perfect.
simply unique and elegant
Love all the dresses

i'm no dior historian, but i don't think he ever did something like this:

i don't see much armani here, but this particular outfit looks like it came straight out of an armani prive' collection
