High waist shorts

I think those by Sportmax look rather good. However, I don't like the tight version of this, it looks hipsterish. I don't think I would wear this myself, but it can definetily look classic and good.

Chloë's shorts are from Imitation of Christ.. I believe Lindsay's are the same?

I like this. And I love how Sportmax showed a much more refreshing side of the high waist short, not so severe.

I really like those, I think I'm going to get some light jean ones this week :)!!

I love those ones, which eleria has posted:heart: :woot:
I've got a pair in white and I'd like to buy ones in dark blue(denim probably)

u def. have to have to correct body shape to pull these off...esp the fitted ones. i would have to try some on before I make a decision if I like them on me....but the models look good in them. :)

i went in to town last night and literally every girl like 9/10 people were wearing high waist shorts and over the knee socks and heals :( .. seriously trend over kill ... but then again im just jeleous cos i have short fat legs ... i think you need to be stick thin and tall to pull it off.

i really like these... i want to find a very simple denim pair but i'm having trouble because most of the ones i've seen have weird embellishments.

Great pics eleria!

I like them when they are done in the 40's and 50's style, other than that they look 80's and 90's in a very bad way!

I love them. Sadly when God was giving out the long slender legs I was at the back of the queue!

^ ugh me too.
i have short stubby legs and i hate them.

^ I have short legs aswell. But with leggings and a pair of heels it looks quite lovely :)

I think high-waisted bottoms only relate to garments that look stylish and/or interesting. Are we just going to make EVERYTHING high waist much like making most footwear into peep-toe garments? There has to be be some sort of balance that must be maintained. Is the issue of unnecessary and unexpected showing of butt crack THAT severe that every bottom should be high-waisted? What's next- high-waisted bikini bottoms that extend at least one inch above the navel? High-waisted belts?

I was personally thinking of one such example of a high-waisted short was a pair of Bermuda shorts or walking shorts with high waists. An installment of "Ultimate Style" on the Style Network had one celebrity from a popular TV show (I forget which one and what celebrity) said that high-waisted bottoms were a big no-no... unless you want to look like Humpty Dumpty. Only high-waisted bottoms I've been most accustomed to are career pants with decent-size legs. Everything else is just trying too hard. I'm sorry. I would NEVER wear those if I were a lady. I'd rather have some high-waisted, wide-leg trousers to wear around the office than ANY kind of high-waisted bottoms. The denim high-waisted shorts are terrible to me. I would even go as far as the "Mom jeans" reference in regards to denim high-waisted shorts. I will give credit that some of the non-denim high-waisted shorts do look like skirts. Illusion is always a great touch in fashion. I'm opposed to high-waisted shorts as much as I am to leggings under skirts.

Bad idea. I may need to have images of ladies surgically removed from my brain if high-waisted shorts get popular.

this is so straight up 1976, but I think its a very cute yet sexy look , I see this going the skinny jean way meaning girls will adopt this look en masse.
