Some reports show a decrease in testicular function, changes in bone metabolism -- these would make you question whether a young growing animal, or human, would see effects on bone growth and strength. Acutely, it's a stimulant. You can have a tremendous increase in heart rate, sweating, the shakes, general neurologic and acute cardiovascular effects. There can be a dangerous increase in blood pressure. So, there are dangerous acute effects, and chronic effects when the drug is taken up by the cells, leading to cellular changes that cause cell death.
