Lanvin for H&M (Update....Second Collection?)

I'm on the Canadian site and it says 20 so maybe it's 20 for north america

does anyone feel silly getting up at 7 am to go to H&M?
me!!.. and aren't they opening doors at 8? if yes, that means you should actually be in the line by 7, if not earlier.... I find it embarrassing, I always make fun of people sleeping outside of stores the night before black friday.. I have a lot of prejudices when it comes to shopping though, I have a long list of things I would not do for clothes... :ninja:

I still don't know if I'll make it, I liked the idea of going on a tuesday but getting up at 5 am on a saturday, all for one coat that I just like but am not really head over heels for? hmm :ermm:.. I still have 3 days to decide..

Forgot to mention, the ad is in this week's Grazia. First time I've actually seen it placed somewhere..

My plan of action is to try and get the trousers and sunglasses online, if I can't get them, go direct to the shop. Hopefully by the time I get there all the womenswear will be gone and the menswear will still have what I'd like left. I just don't love it enough to queue up outside. Which is odd, because Lanvin is by far my favourite designer to have ever done a H&M collection!

in canada it's the 20th as well. the doors open at 8am

if you're in vancouver, prepare to line up THE NIGHT BEFORE. there were women lined up at 5pm the day before the Jimmy Choo collection, and this one is definitely stirring up more interest.

i'm praying that the men are far less obsessed, because there ain't a snowball's chance in hell that i'm camping out for a new blazer. lol. i will be there a couple of hours early, though.

and i shall be getting:

one of the blazers
the trench
the metallic shoes (in blue or purple, haven't decided)
the bowtie
the sunglasses
and maybe a pair of the casual pants

all told, i shall spend far too much money at H&M on saturday morning. and my credit card shall weep. but it will be fabulous.

I'm actually glad you people in North America get it on the 20th as I hope you'll be sharing pics and sizing infos with us, so we'll have it easier when we're on the hunt for nice things in those allowed 15 minutes on the 23rd.
15 minutes is way too short for me to decide if I want something, find the right size, etc.

Its going to be crazy on Saturday. If only they would put the collection online also. Thats the thing I dislike about fast fashion, it turns people into savages.

I won't be able to get to the LA stores till 26th :( Everything will probably be gone by then

I wish there was at least one H&M here!

I really like this one:

Gonna pick up the sunglasses definitely, maybe the blazer too.

anyone from boston on this thread? wondering if the collection will garner that much attention here

trying the gauge my plan for saturday...

Thank God I won't be in NYC because I wouldnt even try there...

Saw the yellow dress on the cover of some Danish magazine. The dress was pretty, but that didn't save the cover

Oh god, me and my friend are planning our "strategy" since this collection seems to be drawing way more hype/interest than previous ones! And Vancouver is the only Canadian West Coast location carrying Lanvin, so I'm expecting madness. We're thinking of going early, perhaps even the night before :innocent: but we might be freezing our butts off cuz the forecast calls for snow in Vancouver! Hopefully it won't be too nuts with the system of giving the first 320 people bracelets but it is Lanvin.

happycanadian, Racked.com had an interesting tidbit for guys that bodes well for you, they said:
There for the men's collection? You're in luck. No bracelets are required for men near the front of the line, and while we're pretty sure you won't need two, let alone three sizes of that matching blazer and cap set, you can probably make an indecisive girl's day by offering to put a third size of that red chiffon gown on your card.

My country doesn't have H&M (though I always buy from it when I'm on holidays) - how does their prices compare with other designer collaborations? Perhaps if it's considered a lot more expensive, it won't be as popular?

I wonder which pieces will be the most popular and sell out first? Maybe the one shouldered purple dress - that's so lovely and is definitely my hit-list.

in Russia they are launching on 23th. 2 stores, one in Moscow, one in Saint-P. And in case of a rush, they will divide first 320 customers into 16 groups and give each group 10 minutes, after them everyone will be allowed. And you can't buy more than one of the same piece. Hopefully no restrictions for men. Maybe I'll grab a pair of trousers or a cardi, in case I be satisfied by quality

I thought the collection looked nice in this editorial:
