Lanvin for H&M (Update....Second Collection?)

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm soooo thrilled!!!!! I sooo hope i will get my hands on at least some pieces. this will be mayhem.

does anyone know if this will be sold online too?

The collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide. The collection of both womenswear and menswear will be revealed to the world on November 2, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store.

when do they announce which stores?

they will anounce exactly which stores will have it on november 2nd when they launch the section on their website for the collaboration.

however keep in mind they decrease the amount of stores the special designer collections are in each year to keep it more "exclusive".

Not really excited about that...still don't think Lanvin is the right brand to represent or do a collaboration with H&M,Lanvin clothes are made for kind of mature/fashion conscious clientele while H&M is all about coolness for young people
A partneship with Dolce & Gabbana or Chloe would have worked much better if you ask me
I think a lot of people do not understand what H&M is about. H&M is nothing like F21, which is all about trends. H&M is very much for fashion conscious people, I see women and men at any age and income shopping there.

H&M does great quality silk and cashmere items every single year. I don't think this will look cheap at all. I wear mostly H&M, and I look bloody expensive :brows:

I'm worried that this will only launch in Cph though, that would break my heart

Wow, Lanvin for H&M? My hopes are high.
It's bound to sell out to tfs members ALONE.

i believe it will but good luck on that. if regular pieces sell out in a few hours, this will be gone in a few seconds.

To prepare myself I am planning to fast for the second half of October (after +J) and first half of November. Oh and sell my whole closet!

i am not getting my hopes up at all. its no use wanting to buy something that isnt sold in my state.

it will probably only be available in three states; california, new york and illinois.

i read that there will be 30 pieces and 15 accessories for women, and 25 pieces and 10 accessories for men.

Really? Maybe it depends on the country because in mine H&M is like the supermarket and the few things I have bought there were of bad quality

brilliant idea for a collab!
but the 9th sept is not a good date... why not wait for fashion week?

ETA i just saw it will be revealed NOV 3rd ..

I'm already building up the bank account for this one. This is going to be mayhem!

:woot: I can't wait! This better be good; I can see it turning out really well. I love Alber and am excited to see what Lucas Ossendrijver does for the menswear. Novemeber seems so awfully far away now...

MY GAWD!!:shock::shock:
How more epic can this get? First of all, saving my dolla' bills. Second, I'm SO skipping school for this. Hello, it is Lanvin by Alber Elbaz for H&M. Maybe even staying over night at an H&M is probably going to be required.
But....
On the total opposite side of this, i'm very confused about it being Lanvin for H&M rather than Alber for H&M. I agree with the commenter that stated he/or she would categorize Lanvin as part of the group of Chanel & Hermes which does leave me to be question this. But who cares, it's Lanvin for H&M!:woot:. Ugh, I can already see those gorge costume jewelry he does but translated.....*swoon*.

Of course I avoid the flimsy cotton stuff  I don't buy flimsy cotton stuff from any brand, because it's basically the same and will fall apart eventually.

A lot of people think that H&M is trendy cheap clothing, which is very wrong IMO. I've never had anything go out of shape of fall apart from H&M, but I have plenty of bad experiences from more expensive brands (hello Acne ). And I can think of a billion stores that are way more trend oriented than H&M...

I said this on another thread, but I think it's worth repeating:

The important thing to remember is that Lanvin for H&M is not Lanvin. You get a bit of the Lanvin dream--his design ideas--but you also get stock fabric and [probably China's] lack of quality control.

Elbaz is correct in saying that it's more H&M going "luxury" than him going commercial. I'm anxiously awaiting what the collection will be. I, for one, think these collaborations are great. Yet, I don't fool myself into thinking I own Lanvin (yet).

I'm so happy I live in a country where they have H&M's on every street corner

I said this on another thread, but I think it's worth repeating:
I'm disappointed by him saying that. People are not going to buy the collection because it's H&M going luxury (H&M could do that without the help of another designer). Of course consumers are going to buy it because it bears the brand name Lanvin and it's made more accessible to them, just look at the comments in this thread.

Of course I avoid the flimsy cotton stuff

Well, I did too. But it still was bad quality. :flower:

I hope the collection is good
if it is I hope i don't get mauled to death trying to get it
