London shopping

I know exactly the place you mean but cant think of the name. It's in called Kingly Court.

if you go to Kingly Court when you're there, couldn't you just go see which one it is. Won't you recognise it?

oooh forgot to say that I went to Spitalfield market this morning (East london) and quite liked it. A lot of the stalls were selling very similar thai-looking flowery dresses which I wasn't a fan of but I found this amazing stall in the main 'hall' where this guy was selling loooooads of old jumpers (sort of 80s style but really cute) for £8 each and some tops all for £6 and menswear too. I bought two jumpers and my friend bought one. We managed to get all 3for £20!! Haggling is my new favourite pastime :)Also, have to say that when I went to Portobello a couple of months ago, I didn't see many clothes, a few vintage designer ones, but not a lot. lots of 2nd hand jewellery, antiques etc. I bought some old paris postcards (like 1930s/40s) for 50p each!I won't be living in london for much longer so is there anywhere else I need to go to? as in non-highstreet and non-expensive designer shops? Will be leaving end of June :(

Alexandra, Yeah I guess I'll do that. I was just wondering if there had been a website or something where I could ask them about the bag. :) But thanks anyway!

no I don't think there is but you could always find a phone number? I would say it's better to speak to them about it in person though so you can show them the bag :)

I think it might be tashi which u're talking about?they sell unique clothes
not sure

Hi! Could some of you Londoners help me a bit? I was in London in January and I bought a leather bag which looses colour all the time! All my clothes were black after I used it. I noticed this at home, so it was too late to do anything about it. But I'm going soon back to London and I thought that I should go and ask about the bag in the store, but I just can't remember its name! So if someone recognizes this shop, tell me what its name is.

The shop was at Carnaby Street. Actually not on the street itself, but inside the buildings that were at Carnaby Street. There was this entrance in the hall that was inside the building and there were a lot of vintage shops and that kind of stuff. Also there was a cafe in the middle of the place. The shop was in the first floor. They sold new clothes, which were very unique. The shop was very small. Help anyone?

Im going to London in june for doing an english course at EF for one month and afterwards going again on august for doing a fashion course at Maragoni.

UK stores

Hi,
I'm going to the UK in a few weeks, and I'm spending a day in the Trafford centre, so I was wondering if there is any shops i just HAVE to visit?:D
I'm a poor student, so I can't afford any brands:cry: ... So I'm thinking more in the ways of topshop ect!
I'm looking for shoes, bags and clothes B)

Love the trafford centre. It is quite big though so go early-ish to go round it all. They have a topshop and a miss selfridge although they aren't massive from what I remember.

whatever2 please do a search before starting a new thread--we have lots of info about the UK in our shop by city subforum...

merging in there...

there is also a topshop, uk thread in this section of the forum

I looked at their website... it was rather confusing.. if I remember correctly it only listed their boutiques.. at any rate.. I got a much nicer bag..so it doesn't really matter now.

i am looking for april77 & cheap monday jeans for guys in london. anybody knows where i can get them ?

i know urban outfitters (oxford street and kensington high street) do cheap mondays for girls but not sure about boys.

The Oxford Street store carry Cheap Monday but only in the super skinny. Selfridges (just walk down the road...) carry them in the regular but they never have them in stock.

which streets are a must in covent garden?
I know monmouth street and earlham street. but there has to be more, right?
