London shopping

I'm not sure but covent garden isnt that big so if you go along I'm sure you'll find something you like.
Long acre and floral street have some quite nice shops. Can't remember what but some of them looked quite 'designerish'.

Alexandra, thank you so much for your help

Did anyone go to fashion east last weekend? I am without money, thought I'd avoid the pain of it.
Also I got a flyer about a new sample sale shop "chiga guerilla" or something that says it stocks comme and westwood (to name but two) at pretty decent reductions. Its only a short way away but am being lazy and seeing if anyone's been yet and recomends it before I go down.

^whereabouts is that store?

I am staying in london for the next couple of weeks, and I was really hoping to pick up some vintage designer pieces, or just great, unique clothes in general (as in something other than topshop). anyone have any suggestions?

Does anybody know of any sample sales that are going to be into London soon, or any sites with info about them?

Hey I just arrived to London. I was wondering if anybody of you guys knew what the "posh street" was? By posh I mean were all the luxurous shops (chanel, etc etc) are...thank you!!!:flower:

hey all

im looking for mens jeans (or any interesting trousers) in london and wondered if anyone could help me search out some good stores?

im particularly looking for dark dark blue jeans or grey or black jeans.. anything but skinny!

ive looked in topshop, selfridges, harvey nics, urban outfitters but could find anything great thad didnt have the skinny leg!

any advice?

Have you checked out the "Sales and Sample Sales Thread?"

no - thanks for the tip! isnt that kind of thing a bit of pot luck though?
i just need some new jeans and cant find any i like.. all the nice colours / designs seem to be skinny fit which is very frustrating!

wob this is rubbish advice but I went to Gap (not very 'london', i know) and found some great straight-legs! Couldn't find them in hm/topshop etc. Don't know what they do for men though!

(see....rubbish advice, sorry)

yeah I would go to store's that do more basics. Have you checked out Levi's or Lee stores? Gap is good advice as well.

Wob...check out this GMTV fashion item with Mark Heyes. The Levi jeans featured are so cool....I totally agree with Alex & Meg sometimes it is best to get your basics from classic high street stores....hope this helps. :)

....Forgot to say you need to scroll down the right hand side, to the guy in the Cardigans are cool item!!!!

I am really liking G-Star jeans at the moment. Can be found in Urban Outiftters or the actual G-Star shop in Covent Garden.

For Jeans Still love Michiko Koshino, 59 Broadwick Street, London

what's the difference between the three vivienne westwood stores?

in short: the chelsea one is the historic one , the conduit street one is the general mainline one and the davies street store is the posh one (gold label);)
