Marni for H&M

There are lots of very nice pieces in this collection, and I'd probably even get some of those lovely silk tops if they weren't so pricey. I'll definitely try to get my hands on the sandals and the sunglasses, though.
It's easily my favorite H&M designer collection so far, it actually looks like a designer collection and isn't just a bunch of cheap looking re-hashed "classics" like the Versace and Lanvin ones.

I'm still only liking/loving the silver sandals, the fact that they're actual leather makes me love them even more now . I was actually expecting more interesting accessories and of course much better clothes.. I find the prints awful and the shapes quite irrelevant.

If the mens brown tote came in other colors (like grey, or navy :zorro:), I'd be all over it.. love how it looks. I also like the mens cap for some reason.. I've been feeling uniform-inspired headgear the entire winter and couldn't find one that wasn't military green..

I hope everybody jumps on the clothes so I can purchase the sandals on relative quietness.

Should I expect long lines and everything to sell out quickly for Marni? Did most things sell out for Versace? Hopefully not as many people know about Marni (as I presume) so I can get my hands on a few things.

Well I can certainly kiss those silver pumps goodbye after losing my job. Even if I still had my job, I wouldn't pay $130 for those.

the shirts don't do anything for me. it looks like the fit would be way too loose for my taste...

I'm disappointed in the men's collection. I find some of the women's items to be remarkable and surprising to be included in this line. The men's collection is just very standard, colored button up, print button up, tie yadda yadda.

I'm sure this won't be as crazy as expected.
I still find it mind boggling that the H&M on Michigan ave, has racks of Versace.
A bunch of dresses.

I may find myself making out with a good handful of accessories. Those are the draw.

I really want those sliver and robe sandals, like need them in my life. Anyone in London been to the Westfield (white city) store on launch day? I know it had Versace stuff like a week or two later from the first collection.

I assume all stores will carry the whole line even though in general I find the H&M westfield major lacks in anything good.

All the menswear pieces are extremely hideous. None of them represent the average H&M customer - which is what Consuelo Castiglioni should of had in mind. It's what I loathe about designer collaborations, nothing is ever wearable. Everything is overpriced hype that ends up on an online auction. I'd take H&M's Divided range over this.

I wasn't aware the point was to represent the average H&M customer. They're probably aimed squarely at the more fashion conscious customer, trying to bring them in if they aren't already customers. At the end of the day H&M doesn't care who's buying the collection, as long as it's bought and is a success.

To be honest, even though Marni is lesser known than Versace, people usually go nuts in the stores no matter what. The minute something is limited edition and "designer" people will want it. I think in Copenhagen at least.

That being said I definitely NEED the little silk pj outfit and a pair of earrings:ninja:

I do agree with you on this, of course Marni have a signature style but they should evaluate the H&M customer when considering design credentials for the garments.

I do find alot of people commenting on this collaboration quite funny, because until now, when they release a H&M collaboration they're all over Marni like... god knows what.

I'm really disappointed with this collaboration however, not one single piece would translate into my wardrobe at all.
