Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Amilna has been posting on IG some comments about "fake b*tches" in the industry. Wonder who's she talking about :ninja:

More about what happened to Jourdan Dunn, full article here:

This was the night clubs reply:

The nightclub has since come forward and denied that they have done anything wrong, arguing that it was due to health and safety reasons that they couldn't let anyone else in.

"We are aware that she wanted to exceed her guest list allocation by over 30 people, a request we were unfortunately unable to accommodate due to health and safety," a Reign representative told The Sun. "It was our opening weekend and we were completely sold out. We hope that Jourdan understands that the health and enjoyment of our customers including herself is of upmost importance to us."

If it is true and nobody else entered, then they are right. Clubs and venues have a very strict policy of maximum capacity. I go to a festival every year where the venues have this kind of policy. There are huge lines at the door because they only let one person in when one person comes out. That includes EVERYONE from staff to attendees. If something happens and they have people over the limit, the owner of the club can go to prison. Simple as that.

At all US venues, including restaurants, there's a posted capacity limit on the wall. I saw one recently at a small restaurant that was 21. I think fire marshalls control these limits? They're definitely a real thing.

I sort of feel it is more likely that the capacity restrictions were poorly conveyed and lead to misunderstandings, especially seeing as Dunn won't specify what happened. That + alcohol could make innocent behaviour look differently. And I can't help but feel she was more than a little drunk due to the all caps tweet, which does not help her credibility (although I can't know for sure she was drunk).

It does not make sense to me that Reign would treat her badly when they 1) know she is famous and would tell people and 2) knew was black beforehand and 3) knew that she was inviting other black people. Why would they want bad PR?

And if the 30 people she invited without informing Reign were (mostly) black, I could see how a (tipsy) person who has probably seen and been subjected to racism many times in her life would interpret it as another act of racism.

I like the misunderstanding theory because it lets everyone off the hook

^the way I understood it is that the bouncers wouldn´t let her brother in, so she claims racism. It could be that or a capacity issue but I´m believing the capacity issue was a factor because if he was on her list, why would the club antagonize her at her own event?

I have thankfully never been into this type of clubs but I thought ‘full capacity=private event’ was common knowledge. Sounds like a bouncer dropped that to the wrong person and management is sticking with that.. which is the wisest thing I guess. Personally, call it cheap Hollywood PR, I would’ve added an sentimental opener ‘Reign embraces diversity blah blah’. lol.

I think it's just an excuse from the club , I just saw on instagram that apparently they didn't want her brother to get in...
Also why would Jourdan exposes them about if they gave her that reason earlier that makes no sense , just a pitty excuse to defend their "reputation"

Jourdan might have been somewhat drunk and been feed second hand (incorrect) information (from someone who might also be inebriated) that lead to misunderstandings. If her brother was denied entry because Dunn invited 30 people too many, they had a perfectly valid reason to not "want" him to come in.

It makes no sense that they would deny her brother entry because he was black at an event where so many people were black... I just can't see why they would single out ONE black person if they were racist. He was probably on the original guest list, and I doubt they would have kept him out unless they had good reason to. It is probably against their policy to ask someone else to leave so that another may enter, so it seems like a very difficult situation.

i think good on Snejana for putting herself out there in the fashion world again, a lot of people have negative things to say but at the end of the day she's a genuinely talented model who has created such a unique cult following, and the new wave of models can't hold a candle to her. hopefully there's more work to come. She opened the show no?

Maybe this recent show is not her best look, but ultimately her body of work speaks for itself, even her later editorial work.

.... at the end of the day she's a genuinely talented model who has created such a unique cult following,

LOL. She just happened to form part of a cult, I wouldn't say she developed it. I sometimes wonder, when I look at people drooling over Sasha/Gemma/Snejana/Natasha/that whole clique (not referring to you), why they were such catnip for stans. Not the average stan, the 'ride-or-die' variety. Was it just a sign of the times? I just never saw 'it'. Sure they were pretty, good at their job, and whatnot, but so were others. You couldn't even say it was the personality because they were all pretty nondescript in that department. Snejana included.

At least right now Snejana is brazenly delusional, which of course provide much comic relief.

IMO I think it was just because they were just truly special and unique looking people. I can't imagine seeing someone as striking as Natasha or young Gemma on the street. I can't say the same for today's top models.

Well it's because they're beautiful and actually talented models. I don't see why anyone would be a ride or die fan of today's models. They have nothing. They can't walk, pose, or look that special.

Anyway, Snejana hasn't been that bad anymore on IG. She's toned down the flashbacks. She might have looked bad on the runway the other day but I'm sure if she's lensed by top notch photographers she can look young again. Look at Kate Moss.

Kate moss does not need to look young to be stunning:wink:
