Model Behavior (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

new face Ruby Tuesday posted this to her instagram and I pretty much think it's the best thing ever

LOL. She just happened to form part of a cult, I wouldn't say she developed it. I sometimes wonder, when I look at people drooling over Sasha/Gemma/Snejana/Natasha/that whole clique (not referring to you), why they were such catnip for stans. Not the average stan, the 'ride-or-die' variety. Was it just a sign of the times? I just never saw 'it'. Sure they were pretty, good at their job, and whatnot, but so were others. You couldn't even say it was the personality because they were all pretty nondescript in that department. Snejana included.

At least right now Snejana is brazenly delusional, which of course provide much comic relief.
I honestly think some people are just very nostalgic for that era even though when you look back at the older threads from that time, people were lamenting the overexposure of that small group. Maybe it was because they were the last group before social media took off... unless they were interviewed on TV or by a magazine models were enigmas staring out from the pages of Vogue. I think certain stans are still so enthusiastic because of the mystery and the nostalgia. I still agree with you somewhat, I too am surprised by this continued fascination.

I actuay think this one had a bit of a stank attitude! The way I see it Carolina must've assumed, since she was sitting front row, she was a regular. She may even have mistaken her for someone else too. To have gotten a front row spot through disgusting tactics, get acknowledgement and then try to pass it off as humour is tacky. No wonder people like these are barred from front rows.

I agree that it is probably because of Instagram as well. I cannot imagine any top model today garnering the excitement that Freja and Vlada used to. There are no threads anymore that attract the amount of posts that these girls used to. Due to Instagram, top models today all just seem like your regular, average young girl now because we see every part of their lives. There is no allure anymore. The days of the TFS model stan are long gone.

The are wild quotes goign around tumblr attributed to Snejana, and I'm sure she never said most of them, but the stans still cultivated a Divanopka i.e. Queen b*tch personality around her lol.

I´m showing my age I guess because the first thing I thought was the Rolling Stones´song. Which I´d guess the restaurant is also name after

That was my immediate thought too... guess us geriatrics will be over here dancing in the corner while everyone else is eating burgers :P

^yeah, maybe it´s not just age but knowledge of general musical culture...

She should say the name of the designer, why protect their identity, they need to be outed... what you hope he'll cast you in the future? If models keep telling stories without giving names, that's bs and doesn't help. Say names so they can hopefully be comfronted about it.

I applaud those models that say names, like the girl that got cancelled for the LV show and then Ashley Brokaw had to respond to the accusations.

Good for her! How dare they cut her hair and then cancel her. What's the point of that?

Again? When was the first time? Or are you referring to the Balenciaga casting?
It totally sucks that they did that to her.. she must've been their hair test or something.

The fact that you are referring to Ulrikke as 'the girl' kind of sums up why models shouldn't say names. Ulrikke's career is now dead. Sure, the media runs your story and everyone cares for about two days, but after that you are no one.

Sorry, I was referring to The Balenciaga casting fiasco - I see now my original post could read differently.

I'm all for models calling out this kind of behaviour - I like Louise and I hope it doesn't hurt her career

^^ exactly.. more concerned about Ulrikke's whereabouts tbh.. where did the "let's support her by booking her!" go?, meanwhile Ashley didn't lose one client and these clients are just looking away.

It's always brave to see someone speaking up in places that are unregulated for absolutely no excuse, within a structure of somewhat developed countries where policies can be implemented relatively easily... I just find Louise' posts slightly deceitful and completely unprofessional... I don't care if this is her "personal account" (blurry line there for people that profit from crafting a personality through social media), you don't get back to a potential client with a shot of your middle finger and a "f*ck you", I mean, how old are you that you can't talk about what you consider an injustice eloquently?

.. don't know anything about modeling but last I heard you could only consider yourself officially booked once you were already dressed and ready to hit the catwalk?... flying as an option seems pretty standard not just in modeling.. the amount of people flying overseas everyday for deals that may or may not happen. And you live from your appearance so they cut the dead ends and gave you what seems to be a trim of hardly 1.5 centimeters? (going by her post, you would think she went from Rapunzel locks to a shaved head)... and probably a face massage followed by some makeup test.

I don't doubt they're probably piece of crap people but these comebacks with a touch of tantrum in a professional context are always hard to sympathize to.

I'm still waiting to see if Ulrikke will be a Louis Vuitton exclusive or if she silently got blacklisted by the industry.. :(
