Apparently one of the reasons Erin welshed on the deal was because she wanted to focus on her relationship. Sounds earnest, but not it the poor stylist invested so much legwork in the plan already.

How much does VS pay? Their models are always on the 'top earners' lists!

Former Victoria's Secret Model Erin Heatherton Sued for $10 Million Over Fashion Line

Fashion stylist Clare Byrne is suing Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton for $10 million for a sportswear collection they were meant to launch together that never got off the ground, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.

In the papers, Byrne claims that back in June 2015, after working with the model as her personal stylist for roughly nine months helping to dress her for various events, campaigns, and appearances, the two decided to work together on a contemporary sportswear line called RetroActive.

Byrne asserts that Heatherton paid her a discounted flat rate for her services, instead offering 40 percent equity in the company that would ultimately be formed to market and distribute their RetroActive line in lieu of compensation. As part of this agreement, the model also agreed that should nothing ever come of their sportswear collection and no company be formed, she would pay Byrne her full original rate and would also assume all costs for the project from inception to the prototype phase.

The stylist’s lawsuit claims that she then worked for 28 days on the line between June and September of 2015, designing and fabricating prototypes, developing an advertising and business strategy, and even coordinating with a factory in China to manufacture the pieces. However, it seems all of that effort was for naught, as in October of that year Heatherton abandoned the project completely “without warning or justification.”

This all happened after the model allegedly wore a few pieces from the RetroActive prototypes on September 18, 2015 to film a promotional video for Zoolander 2 and again on October 3, 2015 to throw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game, giving Byrne the impression that they were moving ahead as planned with their timeline to roll out the collection.

Since none of that came to fruition, however, the stylist is now seeking to be compensated for her full, un-discounted per diem rate, as well as her out-of-pocket expenses and what she believes her stake in the company would have been worth, all to the tune of $10 million. Heatherton has yet to make an official statement about the lawsuit.

That's awkward because her net worth is estimated to be $7 million... she hasn't worked/had a big job in years it seems. I can't even find her on IMG's website (googling it works though), so I don't think she's with them anymore.

Crikey! Lol! What's with the 'homeboy' this and 'homeboy' that.

Major yikes at the Complex interview. Lol! The second-hand embarrassment I just got from watching that...she came off extremely try hard.

That just made my day  So embarrassing to try and come off as a 'street kid' when your dad was a real estate developer and you grew up in a multi million dollar mansion. Come on!

"I used to save up for them" oh ok did you also save up for your horses and jet life? doubt it lol

While this is truly hilarious, I think many of you would be surprised by how many of those rich, white Hollywood (and elsewhere) kids actually speak this way.

I also know a few super-rich, born into multimillionaire families, kids who also had to save up to buy the things they wanted. Yet, they flew private, attended insanely expensive schools, and lived in mega mansions. Not all rich parents actually throw cash at their kids

I'm not one of those who always resent rich people, but don't even try to defend her because whichever way you go swing it it'll just sound condescending to those who actually had to save up for sneakers.

I am with ThatDudeOverTher. I don't know rich-rich kids, but I knew a few rich kids who could have been given everything they wanted, but were not because their parents did not want their kids to grown up like that. I am not saying Bella was not totally cringe in that clip (which I refuse to watch because I think I would die on the inside), but it is entirely plausible that she had to save up for them at one point.

(And if I were rich I would not pay for my kid to buy hiddeous sneakers:innocent: Perhaps her parents share my taste...)
