I should keep up more but I don't. Is there still a big fuss about vaccinations considering some people have taken them over a year ago? It genuinely kills me how many people on my Instagram who are posting anti-vax nonsense have faces entirely made of fillers, and additionally the other questionable things I've seen them consume from strangers.

It’s rumored that Kendall Jenner has not been vaccinated which is why she’s wearing double masks everywhere. NYFW is requiring all models to be vaccinated. It will be interesting to see which famous models end up walking (if any).

Doutzen is anti-vax. She went on and on about the dutch restrictions months ago, and then came up with some weird anti-vax post about being enlightened or some crap. A bunch of other models liked it, including I believe lily. I definitely remember Carolyn Murphy supporting it.

This blind is debunked by NYFW, the Met gala and pap pics. There are pics showing Gigi, Bella, Hailey and Zendaya after their vaccinations. Kendall attended NYFW which requires vaccines. Dua and Anwar might not be vaccinated but we might never know.

It's not about their medical choices.. it's spreading false and dangerous news about vaccines during one of the worst pandemics in recent times. It's especially dangerous because of their high visibility online and their global travels.

Well, personally, I'd say by the very fact there's a MET Gala this year in the first place tells me these people organizing and attending do not take it very seriously. And their masklessness is also an indicator to me that they're not really concerned. Now - they certainly are concerned about telling us that we must wear our masks and that "we're all in this together." Ah, yes, "together."

They get to party like this, but I can't go into a store with 2 other people without a mask on. Ok.

True, but these rumors are quite baseless and dangerous IMO. First, it was a rumor that she wasn't vaccinated and wouldn't walk at fashion week. She walks shows, and then it becomes a rumor that she has a fake card. Despite evidence to the contrary.

It's so easy to make this sh*t up, and just as easy to put it out on the internet for people to eat it up. Case in point: Bella allegedly being dropped by Kors or Dior (I cannot recall which brand it was) because of her stance on Palestine. It was some idiot on TikTok that started it and it took off.

And yes...I know this is a rumor thread.

Sorry for the long rant, but...
When your personal choices can put the lives of others at risk it's no longer "my body my choice." It's one thing for a person to refuse to take something like their asthma medication, they're only hurting themselves in that case. But when someone refuses a vaccine they put the lives of others at risk. Maybe Covid isn't a huge risk to some of these anti vax people, but for the people who are immunocompromised, in poor health, in a high risk age group, unable to take the vaccine, etc. Those people depend on the herd immunity that a majority vaccinated population provides. That's why refusing a vaccine is such a big deal. I understand people having worries and distrust, and I don't think there's anything wrong with researching it but most of these famous names seem to be looking for information to confirm their beliefs and spread it to their young naive followers. It's hard to take someone seriously about their vaccine knowledge when they barely know how their own body functions (looking at Doutzen and her weird body cleanse nonsense). Plus it's easy to brush off getting vaccinated when you're rich and low risk.

I do agree about unsubstantiated rumors getting out and hurting people though, but I don't think there's enough traffic on this site for it to be picked up.

Except this isn't about your body. It's about variants spreading like wildfire between the unvaccinated and rendering vaccines less effective with each variant. It's about no hope or future of herd immunity while so many won't get vaccinated. It's about hospital bed shortages beyond belief, it's about all medical care being delayed for months and months because the beds are full because we are dealing with one of the most contagious viruses that we have in a long time. It's about the people saying oh it's 99% recovery rate without understanding how many people 1% of 8 billion is.

Most of all, it's about the deep, hurtful ignorance of the privileged people who do not spend their time in hospitals, who probably have some idea of what the situation has been like over the past year and a half has been like for those who do, but for some reason are consciously making the choice to keep putting them through this as long as they can. It is astounding and utterly unbelievable disregard for others' lives. THAT is creepy.
