Well to me the restaurant rules absolutely don’t make sense at all, I think it’s just a compromise so they don’t have to either say “no rules in restaurants” or “it’s not safe so no one can go to restaurants”. Ostensibly it’s “following the science” but I think really it’s a transparent attempt to try and save face while minimizing permanent economic damage to the restaurant industry. If the air we exhale magically stopped traveling once we sat down, than why isn’t it legal to smoke a cigarette while you’re sat at your table? I suppose one might argue that *any* safety measure is preferable to *no* safety measures, but personally I think it’s fair to question the logic.


Anywho, my question isn’t about whether the rules always make sense, it’s about whether anyone who appears to be following them deserves the derision. Is someone enjoying a meal without a mask a hypocrite because the person who brought them said meal had to wear one? I don’t think so. They didn’t make the rules and individually they have no real impact. I realize the MET Gala attendees are wealthy and have some semblance of power, but Addison Rae, for example, has no influence over the rules as they apply to her or to the staff, she had to get vaccinated to attend and was at least told to wear a mask once she entered the MET itself (as opposed to the vented tent outdoors). Is she guilty of anything by simply following the guidelines? People are trying to use photos from the event to “dunk” on people they view as liberal elite but even the Celebrity-class liberal elite were told to follow the rules or else could not attend.

Except its a vaccine, not an amputation. Vaccine mandates have always existed, they existed when the polio vaccine came out. Last I checked we the current law situation in regards to the rights we have and our ability to vote has not changed. I don't know what else to tell you.

Doutzen... You don't have to trust the vaccine, you don't have to get it but that's just stupid. Why is she so dramatic about it? I find it hilarious to be quite honest, it's almost as if she believes that her anti-vax mindsets will change the world.. Does she think she's kinda like a prettier Jesus? lol She needs to get a grip.

I do understand the danger of misinformation about vaccine but quite frankly, who on earth looks to Victoria's Secret models (or any type of celebrity for that matter) for medical advice? We all have our opinions and she's free to have hers, but the way she keeps constantly yapping about it on social media... no one asked girl.


How sad is it that some of our late aughts icons keep turning into a mess, tarnishing their reputations and their legacy. I still adore Doutzen as a model but each time I see her in an old editorial this is the first thing that comes to mind and it's embarrassing. Before that, I'd think of her stellar work with nothing but praise. Not to mention miss Frackowiak, the sun goddess. Such a shame...

Reading all this...I'm so mad. I can't believe some people are praising her and are labeling this post as an act of "courage"... I find it dangerous. It's all about her and only her. This is simply selfish and irresponsible. And she talks about unity? Why does she feel the need to justify herself about her medical choice? She's literally been living "in a bubble" yet has the audacity to teach lessons, asking to "speak the truth and pass the torch". Like what? What's brave would have been to go on the ground, talk with doctors and see how things are really happening from the inside, in hospitals, with unvaccinated people that are dying. Maybe that, would've been her so-called "awakening".

Candice got vaccinated in Florida though. She said she was anti-vaxx at first but then realized it was her duty to help protect those who "can't take the shot"... Maybe just showing up for a friend?

I know I've already stated myself as for the vaccine, so it comes as no surprise I'm infuriated here. I understand skepticism, don't get me wrong, but this whole bow-down-before-me savior act she's doing is troubling; don't even think she knows the true meaning of a spiritual awakening, because spreading propaganda under the guise of being an earth mama who loves nature is not it. The worst part is... she didn't mention not one person outside of herself in her caption, and, of all photos, posted a selfie - like could you not make it ANY more clear you couldn't care less about anyone's health so long as it doesn't strictly concern yourself?

I don't know... sometimes I can't even comprehend why protecting the health not only of yourselves but of others should be debatable. If you aren't to get the vaccine, at least take others into consideration and STAY AWAY. Otherwise, you're just plain selfish.

Why trust the healthcare system on an ICU bed when you couldn't to get two Pfizer/Moderna/etc. needles for free?

They know full well, she won't be able to work or enter a venue if she refuses to be tested for Covid-19.
