And i didn't even notice her at those shows most girls nowadays are not even runway filler material, a la Manuela Frey back in the days, that's why most are gone by the 2nd season. Alicia Burke came from a solid NY season to the crappiest London season ever; poor Wallette too. Elibeidy and Manuela were the standouts for me in London.

Being 'selective' is a well known code for not booking shows. Especially when it comes to 'runway models'.

Yep. Let's not act like Roos, Camille, Greta, Adrienne and Julie are Natasha, Freja and Anja or even close. They are not being selective because they 'don't need to walk shows'. I am sad to see them fading but unfortunately that is the way it is these days.

Question: Would it be fair to say that these girls are "fading" just because they didn't do the Ashley Brokaw shows? I think Greta's NY showlist is impressive (bar Jonathan Simkhai). Same with Roos.

Also what is going on with Lorena? She only appeared in Proenza and de la Renta and then the most random shows in London.

yes i think there was a big shoot in india. there were a few girls that didn't book the big shows those days and i think that is why.

Vanessa was in India too? So many girls went to India in the past couple of weeks, Vittoria, Nora Attal, Kendull, Marjan... according to Marjan it was a shoot with Mario Testino for Vogue India (weird, I know).

Wallette was also shooting in NY during NYFW, could explain why she didn't perform as well as expected. As for Zhenya M, do you guys think the Trump showcard could be the reason? Apparently a lot of people in the industry decided to stop working with girls from this agency, but I don't know if this movement was really followed during NYFW.

Agree. There were some strong choices (Isabeli, Vittoria and so on) mixed with some others that.. I personally don't appreciate. But it was bad because I didn't see coherence. It was an attention seeking cast. They focused on that while they should have focused on the woman they wanted to represent with the collection.. It was by Piergiorgio I guess. He is such a mess most of the times.

Technically it was a pretty good casting job, catered perfectly to the Ferretti client base. With an extra sprinkle of Middle-Eastern inclusion cos thats where the money is.

I find almost anything Gucci does these days offensive. Underneath the layers of Tenenbaum rococo are some good faces though.
