The girl opening Tom Ford this season was great!
It seems like with all the changes in the calendar and at the CFDA, designers wanted to show that they can attract big names.

The biggest surprise was seeing Kurkova on the runway...

Honestly I'm not mad about there being a lack of new faces (so far). I feel like we have been introduced to so many new girls from the last couple seasons. Instead of using a girl for a season or two and then throwing her away, let's hope casting directors can support these newer girls and help them grow into supers.

Ajok Madel and Dahely Nunez are probably the only new faces I’m concentrated on so far. Amazed Naomy Garcia and Dayu Agor didn’t book a single show, but I guess with the reduced NYFW schedule there wasn’t much to expect in the first place

I think we are assuming casting directors still have the power to support their favorites beyond casting them for a few shows....the brands are more likely to make decisions based on predictive analytics, roi, and feedback from their marketing/sales team. Hence an Abby champion killing it because shes popular for being a famous girlfriend to a kennedy/celeb while some of these amazing faces get no credit.... No buzz.
Paris is the only city left with relevance unless prada somehow surprises us imho

I wish, Sasha Komarova's quanity of shows could transform into quality in Europe like it worked with Jay Wright or Hyun Ji Shin seasons ago. She's such a beauty, I'd like to see her more.
And according to her Instagram she did 14 shows in NY

Love the fact that the more established girls did really well like Kiki, Bella, Gigi, Kaia, Binx, Anok, Lineisy, Sora, Julia Nobis, Lara, even Fei Fei and a few newfaces too like Kyla Ramsey and Abby. Hopefully Europe will be like that too, no need for 300 newfaces every season.
