I hadn't thought of Missoni, but that's a good guess, as they've been badly affected by the recession, so they could totally be going for a H&M collaboration :woot:
Of course Isabel Marant or Vanessa Bruno would be awesome, but those are definitely "too cool" for H&M right now. They would get nothing out of such a collab (especially Marant who still thinks she's all exclusive in spite of Miley Cyrus wearing her colthes to every Disney event).
And OMG, Prada? Now that would be something!

I REALLY hope it's not an American designer. Please, Vanessa Bruno or Isabel Marant...
I don't think it's gonna be IM. I got an impression she doesn't want to collaborate with brands like H&M.

I know, but she said she doesn't like brands like Zara (and other street brands), because they're copying her clothes.

Well, it would be a perfect chance to prevent that. :p
lol that is what Rykiel said.

All I want from the collaboration is a great menswear collection. Always get stuck with the stick in the mud. Great footwear and accessories would be a godsend.

The more I think about it the more I want it to be Missoni especially because it's a F/W collection.

Menswear has really been ignored by these collaborations so far, hasn't it?

You're absolutely right about Missoni doing a collaboration with H&M, however i'm not sure how H&M would feel considering they had already used knitwear pattern expertice Sonia Rykiel for their S/S 2010.

I would prefer either Marni, Missoni, or personally a Phillip Lim Collaboration would be nice!

Sonia Rykiel did not not sell well at all over here. You can purchase both the lingerie and the knitwear at 50% off right now. Since they're doing another F/W collaboration they need a designer that's well known even to a "non-fashion" public and a collection that's actually suitable for the season. I can see a Missoni collection that would include lots of accessoires like scarfs and hats and so on that would sell like crazy.

All the collections have had reduced items. Karl's stock was sold to staff for £1, Stella's had beaded jackets that got £100 taken off them, Victor & Rolf had pieces in sale for months... it happens. It doesn't mean it's unsuccessful. There will always be bits that don't sell.

Missoni would be amazing, but like someone mentioned before, Sonia Rykiel was knitwear. So I don't think a knitwear designer will follow a knitwear designer..

The menswear side of things is a bit sad. I do wish Stella had done a menswear range as well, I can imagine it would have been great. The Jimmy Choo men's bags were lovely, but sadly they only did the two pieces. Sadly menswear just isn't the focus for them, it doesn't sell anywhere near as much as the womenswear, so I think we'll always get a bit of the rawer deal out of these collaborations.

thinkinking about it again made me want it to be Marni and not so missoni anymore XD

that would be sooo grat but i really afraid that it will be some stupid brand ;/

I got some H&M Fashion Against Aids pieces:

^Ditte - what´s the fabric of the tunic (3rd picture)? It looks nice.

I'm actually excited by this collection. There harem printed pants & the leather jacket especially seem really nice.

I hope it'll really be in stores tomorrow because I haven't seen any window displaying the collection, anything suggesting it at my store.
