I just find it hard to believe that they'd go with that label... Victor & Rolf were pretty much unheard of by the general public, but they were at least a big, big name in the fashion circles...

IF that is true then there must have been something going wrong there. Like some other designer cancelling the collaboration last minute or something, because why else would they wait this long and keep us all excited if it turns out to be a designer nobody's ever even heard of? That would be a huge disappointment I wanted a big fashion house (Missoni) to do the collaboration. Or at least someone who's hyped and "trendy" (A. Wang, Proenza Schouler, etc) right now, but not this.

Proenza Schouler are unlikely to do it I reckon, they have a Target collaboration under their belt and now a denim one too, and H&M would make them do jeans. I imagine it'd conflict too much. Probably the same with Wang. He has a lower priced, accesible brand of his own.

But that being said, we are yet to have an American designer do one. We've had European ones, British ones, an Asian brand... I think it'll be time for a US one.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. But oh dear, that's nearly $80 US. I just went on a spree so I'm a bit depleted in funds at the moment... perhaps it is released in the UK and not in the US yet? That may give me some hope as then I have more time before it comes out.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but why all the commotion about the latest collaboration? Is it because the designer is fairly unknown or are their clothes not very good? I'm genuinely confused!

marmoset, for me it was underwhelming because they usually reveal the collaboration in spring and they kept it under wraps this year thinking they got someone really prominent.

I just went to my local H&M and they don't have the faux croc bag in stock yet. I also called a few others in the LA area and the employees seem baffled by it. If anyone knows of when it will release in the US, and if it will be indeed 80$, please let me know!

If I don't own an aviator jacket this season I'll seriously harm someone. I hope this one's good... my feeling is it'll be turn up on Hennes and not be that great to feel, and Trend will end up doing a full leather version... but we'll see! Fingers crossed.

i finally got the beige leather tee and i also got the beige trench cape! LOOOOOOVEEEE H&M. I really want an aviator as well but feel like a zara version might be better quality wise. Would really like to know when the above is going into store though.

Topshop's aviator's have already dropped into store, as have Oasis', so I imagine the H&M one wont be too long. Before the end of August.

I don't think Zara is any better quality-wise at all, quite the opposite actually. It used to be but these days it's getting worse with every collection.

zara still has better quality than h&m. Because they dont know do any advertising they spend more on the clothes itself. The materials zara use and the construction is higher quality.
