I really don't want to start an argument on this, but I don't know any other store where there are so many ripped and torn items to be found than at Zara. I personally think that the fabrics they use are ridiculously cheap.

i disagree diesanni.

zara still has better quality than h&m. Because they dont know do any advertising they spend more on the clothes itself. The materials zara use and the construction is higher quality.

i strongly disagree.... do you know how many tops, skirts, etc from zara i had to threw away, cos they lost shape after 1 washing??? i only shop at zara when im bored....

on the other hand, HM has v. low prices, and quality compared to the prices is great.

zara is the real copycat, at least HM has collaborations with designers.....

True Zara is the real copycat and im quite sure a huge proportion of girls thank god for that XD however i think no one should have a doubt that Zara beats H&M when its about quality-price relation. Zara might be over priced sometimes, of course, but ive fell in love with pieces at H&M i havent bought because they look too bad in quality terms even tho they were really really cheap.

So back to topic, any idea when we will see the amazing jacket in H&M? :flower:

I guess it'll be featured in the online store as soon as the new H&M magazine is released on a greater scale. And that usually is the time items hit some of the bigger stores as well. Do we know to what line the jacket belongs to?

The new 25%-off code for the online-shop is 8909, if anyone is interested. It's valid until January 2011.

I forgot to add...

There is another code floating around on Ebay that will get you 5€ off your order: 1304. Don't make the mistake a buy any "5€ off" code on ebay because it will be this one and it's not working for anyone! (But of course you can try whether it works for your account ;))

Some of my latest purchases ( have I ever mentioned how much I love their bedclothes?)

No croc bag or aviator jacket in my local store yet :( I'm literally going to cry if the jacket turns out to be Trend.

Thanks in advance.

Some modelling pics of a few of my June/July H&M finds.

This is the "spiderman" dress in blue and my friends begged me to go back and get them the same dress from my local H&M. No flash so please excuse the blurry pics:

Also, this one is one of my faves - it was in the sale for only £15! The ruching detail is amazing and should flatter most figures. I'm wearing a UK 10 for reference.

I also got this animal print dress for just a fiver (£5) in the sale. Sorry it's so blurry, but it's the camera. No flash again.

Oh and I wouldn't wear any of these dresses without some kind of cardi/waistcoat/layers becuase, so these are just "raw" pics at home without any styling. Hope you guys like.

I don't think Zara is any better quality-wise at all, quite the opposite actually. It used to be but these days it's getting worse with every collection. :ninja:

i think for leather goods since they have been making them for quite a while now, and they have had like tuscan sheepskin jackets in the past etc their quality is better.

Oh I forgot to credit my pics. All pics in the post just above lifeistiffanyblu are mine (post 1311).

Trend is the collection with the peachy/nude label in the back of the neck, and it's the 'runway' collection. Most of the more risky fashion pieces come into this collection, and generally it's where most pieces feature in the press come from. It's only available at select stores though.

Divided Black is part of the 'Young' department, it's the garments with the long, thin black tag in the back of the neck. It's fairly young and sometimes a bit punky? Skinny pants, little pleather biker jackets, vests with prints on etc. It's quite cutesey sometimes.

Divided Red is the other 'Young' concept. It's sort of a bit more street inspired, and has a lot of hoodies, and generally more relaxed pieces really?

Then the womenswear department is split into Hennes and Modern Classic. They're the most widely available departments really, most stores stock them. Modern Classic is supposedly more workwear, while Hennes is your everyday womenswear.

Think that's about right... Most stores stock both womenswear departments and Young departments, it's just Trend that's particuarly tough to get hold of sometimes.

Thank you very much!:flower:

honeycombchild thanks on my side aswell because I had no idea, here in my little city we only get the womenswear and divided red, never heard of Trend till i run into this thread.
Can anyone from PARIS please tell me if there is any H&M store where to find Trend?

Actually, I forgot two as well. There's LOGG, which stands for Label Of Graded Goods, which is sort of Gap like. Quite preppy. There's also H&M Sport, which pretty much speaks for itself!

If you go on the website and look at the store locater (this works for the UK stores, so I imagine it does for elsewhere too...) and look at the stores it tells you what concepts they stock.

It will say for example "Ladies. Mens. Young" If you click the 'Ladies' it will drop down to show to what exactly it stocks... and that's where you'll know which stores stock Trend. It breaks it down into the concepts. :)

Most H&M in Paris carry Trend. But the largest selection is on Haussmann (next to the Printemps) I think and maybe in Le Forum des Halles.

honeycombchild and Aby thank you so much girls :flower:
Im moving there in september and the only H&M i located so far is the one at a mall called 4 temps, but im unable to find this one in the locator on the website so Ill try to find the ones you told me Aby as soon as I step there!
