UK Vogue June 2015 : Anna Ewers by Patrick Demarchelier

Freja's shots look fantastic - having been to Marrakech its probably the first editorial that I've seen that really mirrors the city. That being said, I don't think they shot IN Marrakech - they likely shot outside because it's a very automobile-focused city and a camel wouldn't be found anywhere near the city.

Anna looks fantastic - I really love how bright it is. It DOES remind me of Upton's last year, but hey, most people aren't buying summer issues for new ideas, mostly just something to read on a long weekend/on holiday/as a catalogue to find new summer garbs

I just got this today and the cover is stunning in real life. It looked beautiful on screen, but the colours work so much nicer in print; it really is a gorgeous cover. Anna's editorial has beautiful shots and she looks magnificent, even if it is a little safe and has been done to death - Anna's beauty shines through. Nicholas Hoult looks great in his photographs as well. I think I need to spend more time with the Freja shoot, I've only had a quick glance but it wasn't captivating on my first look.

Overall it has a great summer vibe, it's not the most dynamic issue and there isn't too much to go at, but it's pleasant enough. I remember my first ever Vogue was UK June 2008 with Agyness Deyn on the cover by Demarchelier and it was fabulous. That issue seemed jam-packed with stuff, especially for a smaller month and I remember it very fondly. It's my 7 year Vogue anniversary!

I'm here for Anna Ewers and Anna only, Demarchelier's cover story is a little incoherent for me (not overly fond of the shots on the rocks) but nonetheless I'm perfectly satisfied. The close-up with Anna wearing the black top is breathtaking!

While Anna's cover story might not exactly be original or innovative for Vogue's standards, it's like a breath of fresh air compared to Freja's! Kate's styling is beyond tiresome, the whole story looks as dull as dishwater and should've been scrapped in all honesty. Viva la Anna!

freja looks gorgeous, love her editorial best! it's different

anna's i've seen a trillion times

Love Anna's editorial and the cover too. I know it's not something new but it is so exciting seeing her.
I don't know yet if I like Freja's editorial, I kinda do but I wish it shot more outside, I'm sure it was a beautiful location and we get so many indoors shot. It's really disappointing.
Can't wait to see other editorials as well, there are many good models in this issue.

The Marrakech editorial doesn't quite gel for me, but I think it has more to do with the photography. I don't think any of the shoots that Kate has styled have impressed me quite yet, but I do still find them interesting. Where else would you find the suggestion to wear just a floor length vest and some knickers? Or a belted body suit with a crazy beaded bolero? I also support any effort that leads Kate closer to turning into Patsy as she gets older.

Out of all the models the industry have tried to push as "The Next Bardot" none have been as convincing as Anna! She is scarily similar to Bardot that it just amazes me! With that said, I do kinda feel sorry for her, she may be getting tired of it! Her cover is very beautiful though and reeks of freshness and youth! The story is also nice (..just nice).

Freja's ed is beautiful as well, but as other have mentioned, is a bit underwhelming. It focused more on the bohemian-esque vibe of the city rather than it's exoticness! The clothes are laughingly very Kate Moss, but I'm glad they chose Freja to model them. I'm sure it would be a lot different had it been Kate chosen to model.

One of the worst issues so far this year for editorials, same with the features, then again the June Vogue issues are never that good really.

Kudos to Bay Garnett! I find her personality exasperating, but one cannot deny her styling is always on point. In 'Endless Days' she managed to showcase this LV, Prada & SL Paris looks in such a brave and unapologetic setting. Most magazines tend to shy away from pointing out that these looks are in fact almost exclusively for a certain type of woman (shape and age wise). I'm actually quite surprised Alexandra chose to run this story. And Venetia's vintage like photography only accentuates the whole effect. Quite impressed with this.

I agree, it's the best thing in this issue, that I bought because it was just £2.

It helps that the boy is styled like good looking boys used to look when I was a teen, so in a way it brings good memories.:flower:

Nothing about this issue instantly appealed to me when I first saw it, but I sat down one Sunday to leaf through it, and I was able to appreciate the editorials a lot more when I had the time to linger on them.

I still wouldn't say the contents are anything special, but I'd say it's definitely a 'lazy day' issue, where you'll get the most from it when you're in that sort of mood.
