US Vogue February 2009 : Blake Lively by Mario Testino

Is this real?
This looks like a fantastic issue. NATASHA! :buzz:
Coco's editorial is fanatastic for US VOGUE, and Blake's photos are beautiful!

I like the cover. Nice colours.

I have no words for the Meisel ed. It's to die for.

Since Slumdog Millionaire was so huge and she's gorgeous, I would love to see Frieda Pinto on a cover, but that's wishful thinking.

Cover is bland and blah, just like her style. I'm sorry, but she just doesn't seem like shes done enough or at least, done anything of substance, to get a Vogue cover; Gossip Girl & the Sisterhood movies and Accepted, unless I'm missing more pointless bad teen movies she's been in. That dress is also ugly & boring

Since Slumdog Millionaire was so huge and she's gorgeous, I would love to see Frieda Pinto on a cover, but that's wishful thinking.

And the sad thing is, she would make more sense getting a cover like this but they'd never give it to her

I hate US Vogue with all of my heart (and Blake for that matter) but this issue looks absolutely fantastic!!:heart: Lovely!

No new Miu Miu ad sadly, I was looking forward to it as well :(

Couple of new ads: Marc Jacobs, Valentino & Giorgio Armani (one new shot of Sasha)

That Meisel ed is beautiful. It's got something that, imo anyway, Vogue usually lacks: charm. I love the shot of Jourdan and Anna walking with the bicycles. And the shot with the balloons. And the shot of Natasha and the other girl in Prada....well, all of them really.

And I think the Blake ed is pretty good. She looks attractive, end of story. I mean, it's Testino for US Vogue we're talking about, I honestly wasn't expecting much, so the fact that they chose 4 pretty solid shots to put in the mag is a good thing.

And that La Dolce Vita shot  Makes you wish there was more to that story.

why do they have to feature Raquel Z. in this issue again?? can't see her anymore....

the cover is really nice i have to admit, it has this 40s fashion feeling to it which i love.

I agree Spike that there are parts of this issue that really leave you wanting more. My grand hope for Vogue is that the March issue follows this pleasant trend and provides us with nice long, inventive editorials. They've made such strides this issue! I hope things only get better!

I feel my initial review was slightly incomplete. When I get home I'm going to see if there is anything I missed. I believe Missy Rayder has a small picture as a part of an article on Marni and there are a few other notable models / celebs within. I loved seeing Elisabeth Moss in the Index!!

Deyn's editorial looks promising! Can't wait to see it.
And cover is Ok. Blake, probably, can sell magazines really good at the moment...

p.s. how thick is this issue?

Being a huge strokes fan I'm kind of freaking out but not in a good way. Other than the Albert editorial (oh yeah agyness too) I am so impressed by this issue.
It's a madcap world - beautiful
La Dolce Vita - wow

I just don't understand Blake Lively on the cover. She is so ... subpar ... mediocre ... horrible style and no acting skills. However the cover would be very good if it wasn't for that stupid banner.

I love the Meisel ad, I just love Anna J, but all the others look great as well, it's a beautiful ed. I also love the preview of Aggy's ed, she looks so classically beautiful, polished and refined and I'm looking forward to seeing Sims's editorial.

The Meisel ed is gorgeous, all girls work great together and the setting is wonderful!

I like preview of Agyness' ed, the concept seems interesting.
