I really don't understand why so many people call Carey 'boring'. Sure you don't have to like her, but I just don't see why she would be boring.
I'm glad to see her on the cover of Vogue once again, looking beautiful. And even more excited to hear that she is photographed together with Matthias in the editorial.

I wholeheartedly agree! :D

The cover is ok, she looks natural. The issue sounds great, the Fei's ed is amazing, glad than Meisel worked again of US Vogue.

Shocking than Andreja has an ed, but is very good.

I think it´s a lovely cover but I don´t get why she got yet another one. Is she promoting Far from the Madding Crowd? does it warrant a US Vogue cover? if it´s because of british solidarity as someone said then I rather see Felicity Jones, at least she´s got a recent Oscar nom...

Speaking of the entire issue, I think it´s a solid one. Love Meisel´s editorial tie in with this years´ Met Gala, when was the last time Meisel shot something? June 2014?
I look forward to Sasha, Kate and the multi girl ed by Demarchelier.

I really like to compliment the magazine for including Andreja Pejic on a solo spread, short one but still. This is what I look forward to the most :)

I am in disbelief, a US Vogue cover I actually think is good. Then a review that legitimately got me excited; MEISEL!!, Saldi, Venitcia Scott, Kate, Sasha, and no Kardashian/Jenner in sight.

And of course Meisel did not disappoint! "Go East" is PHENOMENAL!! After his one standout shot of the Brazilians in last year's June issue I've been hoping he would be back for more, and now a 8 page story. I hope this does not stop until he's back to shooting covers.

And congrats to Andreja.

The lighting, styling and particularly set design by Mary Howard is one of a kind in 'Go East', but I think that I prefer Natalia's Poiret story by Meisel/Grace from 2007 as it was less static.

It's still exquisite though, which is a word I rarely ever employ when referring to any editorial these days and it's great to see the archive looks. Not a bad cover either, although slightly elevated 'Good Housekeeping' vibes persist.

The shoot with Meisel is real good & hopefully he will get more shoots for the magazine in the future

The cover sucks because she looks bland & boring
Her skin looks almost dalmatian .. too many moles ...wish they photoshopped some away

My goodness! Carey's just glorious. Her face is so naturally gores. I love Fei Fei's editorial also. It's nice to see Steven Meisel back in Vogue.

What! Her skin is gorgeous and I love that they didn't photoshop her moles and freckles. Skin like that reminds me of a starry sky - beautiful

^ Exactly, thank god they left her moles, she looks pretty. Last few of their covers have been surprisingly, and refreshingly "natural".

It is fascinating the extent of power Wintour has at CN! I mean if she likes you, nothing else matters. Her previous two covers were absolute bombs at the newsstands. Especially the last one that Testino shot, i believe, i remember reading it was the worst selling issue of the year. But none of that matters if Wintour adores you! I bet a model cover, even with unknown would sell better than Carey!

Vogue have won me over with this one. The risk they took with Serena's daring cover unfortunately fell flat. The fonts/text placement were a disaster. They're back on full form now, though! This is exactly the US Vogue I love - a simple, conservative and effective cover. Carey looks beautiful and I admire everything from the dress to the pose.

While I'm ecstatic and extremely grateful Steven Meisel is back at US Vogue, I cannot help but feel unsatisfied with the story. I dislike the vibrancy of the colours, how over-saturated they are and I dislike the repetition of the images. What I don't understand even more if the best shot from the entire was used on the opening page and became the smallest! Hopefully we'll be treated to more Meisel/US Vogue in the near future. Thanks for the the wonderful scans!

^in regards of colors and saturation, wait until the digital images are available. That particular scanner´s settings are wrong.

Ugh, the cover is pretty boring, sadly.
Meisel+Grace+Fei fei is amazing!!! She looks great. It's nice Meisel is working for US Vogue again.
I'm glad Ondria is in another ed again, I can't wait.
(No more Trentini, please)

I love Carey and it's always great to see a true talent on the cover. Unfortunately it seems like they can't produce a satisfying cover with her. She looks lovely, though she's far more beautful than that, but it's very bland and falls flat.

Fei Fei by Meisel is just marvelous. It feels so good to have him back in US Vogue and to see that he can still produce fabulous stories. Amazing styling by Grace too.

I'm legitimately a fan of Carey, but I can't help but sort of feel her time is up. I guess Anna is indulging in British solidarity with this decision.

Wait, what do you mean? Are you referring to her work as an actress? She is still one of the most sought after actresses in her age group.

of course Fei Fei only gets an only girl editorial when its centered around "the far east" I'm legitimately shocked that they didn't try to squeeze Karlie or Kendall in there with her. the results are stunning I'll give them that though.
When it comes to Carey Mulligan, I love her acting. I think she's a easy natural talent on the screen. In photographs though she is completely a bore, especially her Vogue shoots. A third cover is completely uncalled for tbh.

YASSS for Meisel back in US Vogue! Fei Fei ed looks like it was inspired by those popular asian calendars that you get at the farmers market. I love it! Anna needs to use more Grace+Steven as often as possible. The duo takes your expectations to new heights each and every single time.

I meant her time as a sort of fashion/indie film it-girl. She's taken been virtually MIA onscreen since 2013, and there hasn't been any real buzz about Far From the Madding Crowd (Suffragette, out this fall, has already garnered more attention). I really don't mean to be shady and I know she does great roles in film and theater. I just think it's pretty remarkable that Carey's scored three Vogue covers while Amy Adams just got her very first one at the end of last year.

FINALLY!!! Meisel back at US Vogue and with Grace and such a cool story, gosh loose those Kardashians and the gimmicks for Christ's sake and focus on FASHION Anna.
