US Vogue September 2017 : Jennifer Lawrence by Annie Leibovitz

Also Breitbart have their knickers in a twist over the cover being too 'political' because of the Statue of Liberty.

Of all the things that this magazine has said and done (on print and online), an image of the Statue of Liberty is where they crossed the line? I can't stop laughing.

And the editor might be thinking that he got under Anna's skin, but boy you're in for a surprise. They love this publicity! They are living for it! Imagine, they got free publicity from an unpredictable source. He might've forgotten that this is the 125th Anniversary Issue, so any publicity is welcome.

"Homeword Bound" is one of the most beautiful editorials I've seen all year. Congratulations to Zoe - this is awesome for her; really wonderful exposure that will surely line up future clients.

"Homeward Bound" restores my faith in the type of content that US Vogue is capable of giving us.

Agree with the comments about Homeward Bound, its a beautiful set of images, far more inspiring than any of the cover edit

My interest in the fashion industry has waned and this cover may be the death.

I got my copy today, it came in a September Issue box.

I'm sorry, but that sounds like an awful September issue. The ads are the most interesting part. Homeward Bound is just gorgeous though.

I remember September issues from a few years back. They were great and exciting.

Thanks for the review anyway.

I'm the complete opposite. For me, this sounds like the most exciting issue Vogue might have produced all year. Aside from the odd fashion image inside various issues, the magazine has been producing some awfully stale and forgettable content this year. Fingers crossed this September issue doesn't disappoint!

Thanks for the review, Sensation! Yay for the supermodel reunion (just hope we can recognize them after Leibovitz's heavy use of Photoshop).

I think there is also an editorial by Charlotte Wales:

That is a thick issue at over 700 pages, wow!

But i can't believe Gigi & Kendall.etc have been included in that Super ed!! I know they consider them the modern day Supermodels, and girls are clearly successful, but when you see all those Legendary names....it's just...cringe!!

Thanks for the review Sensation.

Just because your favorite models aren't in it doesn't mean it's an awful issue.

Other than Kendall and Gigi's names looking so out of place on the Annie Leibovitz ed, this sounds like an exciting September issue.

Not able to scan so only have snaps from the issue

125th anniversary messages (not all of them)

Good Jeans (full ed)

Way Out Yonder (not full ed)

American Day Dream (not full ed)

I am thrilled to see the original supermodels in Good Jeans ed! Can't believe Cindy is back on the page of Vogue US after more than 20 years (correct me if I am wrong but I don't recall her appearing on the magazine after 1994 or 95)! Too bad Naomi is not here with all the other supers.

The"Homeword Bound" ed is also in this issue right?

Anyway, this issue sounds like a good one for September.

She's been featured in profiles at least twice that I can remember. Once for an age issue, if I'm correct, and the other in her summer home in Canada.

I think her lack of appearances might have something to due with refusing to appear on the cover of the Millenium Issue along side the other supes. I remember Anna even called her out in her editors letter. Regardless of happy to see her and the rest of the girls as well but to take supermodels and put them all in jeans? Seems like a waste to me. Overall this doesn't seem like a very celebratory issue.

The covers are nice but generic. The homeward bound ed is stunning tho, reminds one of the fresh beauty of rural America.
