US Vogue September 2019 : Taylor Swift by Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin

Well, she’s happy and her fans are happy.

Don’t really care for the second cover but I can’t lie, I don’t mind the first cover at all. I quite like the whole 70s vibe and the fact the cover is so uncommercial and formulaic? At least it’s something new for them, we spend so much time berating them for doing the same old, some points have to be given for an attempt to do something else I feel.

I guess they are gonna exploit her beef with her previous label...

The shot with the blue dress looks great. Not sure what's happening with the white shirt and belted trousers, there's something off there.
Would have been a perfect opportunity to go all out and style her like a modern-day Doris Day, what with the latter's recent passing.

I’m conflicted....
I like it because it’s different from what USVogue normally does but it looks like a bad Rolling Stones cover.

That being said, I hope the issue will be about Fashion...

I find Taylor totally boring and I truly believe that having a young model on the cover would have had a bigger impact, both culturally and commercially than having Taylor. It’s so rare that it would have been fabulous...

And i’m sorry but I don’t think I&V have anything to offer nowadays. Their formula works with Emmanuelle because it’s like a plate of Pasta with bolognese sauce...But they needs a break.

^ You’re like most likely (like 90% likely) getting Taylor Swift wearing some ugly *** pastel garb for her new ‘era’. And just to clarify, I have no insider info, it’s just process of elimination/expecting the worse and having my expectations met every time.

Is that ugly pastel garb a jumpsuit? I thought at first scroll it was a pantsuit (still ugly) but those pockets don’t look like they belong on a pantsuit.

What the hell

And to think, some of you all really thought Anna was going to ‘save’ September. Tragic.

Taylor is one of my least favourite singers out there, so I am not very excited to see her gracing the cover, but I have to admit I actually like both the cover and editorial.

I wish people would stop being so overdramatic sometimes though with the "Anna is over" sentiment. Fair enough if you don't like it, I am also far from being a big fan of most of her work, but just because a few people on an internet forum don't like her work, doesn't mean she is over.. When it comes to the general public, she is still seen as one of the most influential people and fashion and she has a big impact in the industry.

I wish Taylor would stop talking about that snake story. Most of us who don't follow gutter journalism probably forgot about the entire thing, and now she just resurrected it again. For the Kardashians any publicity is good publicity, so they'll only be too happy that she mentioned them once again. Just move on.
