Valentino HC S/S 08 Paris

I just watched an interview on the Italian television. He said that he's going away without looking back, and he also joked about Dolce & Gabbana, anyway it was very nice. He looked happy.

I looove the color palette, and oh, not to mention the finale...

This is fabulous! Really, the gowns are superb! I don't even know if I can put into words my feelings. I knew he'd have his best stuff for tonight. Its really like a summary of all his previous collections. Some remind me of his older collections. I like the florals. And I like the drama of the gowns. The hats are a fantastic addition. Its all so elegance and glamour to the max. And the finale with all the girls in red. I think if I had been there I would have been crying! This is definately I sad day in my life with the end of one of my favorite designers. I can't wait to see more.

:) I love the giant hat, it looks much like a UFO.

I'm very sad to see Valentino go. I have to admit it, over all of the years, I have never seen too many disappointments from him (while some other haute couture designers have made me disappointed in a whole collection, I cannot gripe about Valentino.) I love the red finale, I love the dress on Sneja, I love the dress at the bottom of post #90 and I enjoy this whole collection thus far. <3 Farewell Valentino, thank you for such beautiful couture, it's been wonderful eye candy. :)

wow; valentino has really showed of his talent with this collection. Its superb. Magnificant; there is lodss of clothes for the collection.
Beautiful' thank you

I can see a headline now: The Red Sea

Most of the gowns are simply stunning. The colors, fabrics and details are so divine. Some of the fabrics' patterns look like something a young girl would wear on Easter, but nonetheless, the cut, shape and drape give it a grown-up feeling. The hats, though, are deliciously ridiculous. Overall, I strongly think that it's a fantastic couture collection from one of fashion's greatest.

LOVE THE RED FINAL; marvalous.

LOL!

This is probably what I like the most about this collection, although it is his last presentation and this could have been a retrospective a la Saint Laurent he choose to offer new, interesting styles for her clients, in a way I feel he shouldn´t retire because he still has it.
