overall, not bad. i was speechless when i saw Vlada- perfect, and some others. but the colors are bleh.

I don't think that's true at all actually. That's just what so many store buyers seem to think is the right way to go, but from what I've read about the F/W 08 sales reports, the safe, basic, classic stuff is what the stores have had trouble getting rid of.

That's what I've heard, too (I think it was on CNBC, in fact).

Great for you :-)))) I'm always happy when somebody has a chance to see the shows, it's always a spectacular experience. I wish the shows were available to wider range of people. I was at Paris SS09 fashion week, although I didn't have any invitations, but at least I saw the models :-) I was supposed to come to Milan Fashion week, but things didn't work out the way they should... anyway, I hope you enjoyed the show. :-DD how did you like it? What were your emotions?

Ultimately this is disappointing on a number of levels.
Firstly as others have said this company over the last 2 seasons has showed a massive progression in pushing the brand forward in a new direction.
This I'm afraid is a huge step backwards......its' a real mishmash of quite a few of her past collections, fairly uncohesive and totally uninspired.

There are some nice pieces......the gun metal grey dresses on Georgina and Toni are stunning......but not unlike the gorgeous one worn by Anna J. last season. But then the long dresses on Karmen and the ill-fitting mess on Karlie just don't work. The short blue dress on Isabeli workd for all sorts of reasons, but this time round even the goddess gowns are below par.

I am a huge fan of Versace, but this is pretty poor for her on comparison with last season and the one before that.
Milan has been a disappointment anyway, but this is ultimately a let down.

oh, and Caroline Trentini too! She would be hot as hell! btw, what happened to Donatella? She used Raquel Zimmermann in every Versace Womenswear, menswear and even couture runway collection since SS04 to SS08 and then she didn't use her at FW08 & SS09, but she's back for FW09 thanks God!.... :-((( REALLY weird.
Also, Have you noticed that Coco Rocha has every single Versace collection Little Black Dress since FW06 (although she wore coat at FW08, but it was black, so it still counts)?

Probably because Coco is so pale, it enhances the look of anything black that she wears. Also the makeup on her in FW06 was so dark, making her face look really striking.
