Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 - Please see first post before posting*UPDATED

Do Adriana and KK really have the same agent or do they belong to the same agency? There is a difference there. Actually VS might give shows like the Tonight Show (Jay Leno) the option of who they want to put on thier shows but ultimately its up to the producers who they want to put on. In Leno's case there have been many celebs who have stated that when you're not that famous your agents will push to get you on, and then the producers give you like a mini interview to see if you will be interesting and if you do good you're in. And Jay actually takes a liking to certain guests wich is why they show up more often then others. Remember she has been on a few times and not always to promote VS. She defintitely didnt promote VS on Oprah either.

Also, KK might not be that famos to the general public she is a HUGE name in the NYC social scene and fashion industry still. A local celebrity if you will. Like I said, it would at least show up on paige six or somthing if she got dumped.


Meh, I guess this is off topic so in the end I will say YMMV but a big name like KK getting dumped by a big name like VS will not be ignored to the NY press believe me.

back to the show - after having watched it again two other times, i can say that overall, i still consider this year to be a HUGE improvement over last year.

how to make it better for next year ...

CUT BACK on the blowing kisses and waving arms. it works for some models, but it does NOT work for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. lawd hammercy!

better music!! whoever was musical director in 2003 and 2005 needs to be BACK on board pronto.

also - Maryna was absolutely the standout to me this year. her and Flavia in the "Dangerous" section. they both just blew me away.

I was wondering how many versions of Victoria's Secret Fashion 2008 are there?
Because I recall seeing a clip of Doutzen waving her arms up and down in the Ballet De Flours Section, and then when I watched the show, she wasn't doing any of that.
Was the other thing I saw, was it the models rehearsing or something?

AGREED! I thought besides "That's Not My Name", they could have chose much better songs. I don't think "With You" or "Human" are songs that belong on the VS runway or any runway in fact!

I guess I have a few unpopular opinions about the show myself

I actually liked last year's show a lot better than this year. It seemed more fun.

I liked Usher. I like him better than Justin Timberlake.

I LOVE Heidi. No she may not be the youngest or the hottest but she just has this big bright shiny personality that I (and a lot of people apparently) am just drawn to. Remember when the 2006 show got low ratings? I believe 100% its because she wasnt there (YMMV of course). She has more presence than all of the other girls combined and Im glad she hosted. *ducks fliying tomatoes*

I liked Lara in the show, I thought she stood out but in a good way.

I honestly wish that they would have used older and more established models like Angela and Carmen in show than all these pretty young things with almost no personality.

I missed Stam.

I remember thinking the same thing last year.....there was a clip on the ads shown here ..one in particular of Adriana...she did did this heart pumping thing (sounds weird..and it's hard to explain exactl) which was shown on the ad...but not on the actual show

it was obviously a cut from one of the 2 shows which was shown on the ad....then they had used the other clip from the other show....whcih was then shown on tv

did that make sense at all

Anyway, yea they are cut from two shows and they combine the 2. Fashionstock use to sell an unedited versions but haven't attended the shows since the 2006 one, I'd love to get my hands on what I believe is the first taping

The first show is taped at 7pm and the other at 10pm.

Correct one is for people who were lucky enough to get tickets, and press and media, and the second is usually celebs and family and friends of the models

I have to disagree about KK not being famous
in the middle of the year she was the most searched person on yahoo when the movie promotional pics came out. she also made numerous appearances on the web and on TV after the belly button and sexiest woman news.

Again...I didn't say she wasn't famous, but compared to Adriana there is no comparrison around the world. Adriana would be famous enough and has been an angel long enough to make press if she left VS. Karolina who has only been angel for 3 years, the general public doesn't know a lot about her.
But comparing the two it's no contest
All I'm saying is the two are famous but in totally different ways, KK inside the industry and Adriana outside. Adriana had the most viewed ad in superbowl, she also was the most searched on yahoo several times, not just once.

Again that was my point she's famous but comparing the two is not even a fair match...now once again back to the show

I want to know, too! LOL Considering they all spent so much time together during rehearsals (Usher's guy friends were there and talked about it!) they probably had a good time and cracked a couple of jokes.
