Apparently the five finalists are judged on:

the following criteria: (i) the Entrant's “match” with the current modeling and fashion industry “look”, and (ii) the originality, creativity, appropriateness to subject matter and sincerity of the Personal Statement.

Oops, Frannie's Personal Statement was insipid and had a typo.

However Marijn's is similar and Marina's is only a single sentence.

They changed the rules partway through (several times). One change was regarding which countries could enter, but they didn't bother to update the pull-down menu in the entry form. So she could only select from the original choices.

Well, I noticed missing countries earlier. Who knows, they may be still changing the rules and end dates, but at this point, who cares?

oh yeah those are my favorites as well, Marina is a GEM! i'm in there as well!... but when they're judging...how do they know if a girl is being truthful about her age and height? i dont remember reading about being disqualified for lying about stuff like that, and i couldn't imagine that some of those girls are really 14. and yes, girls already signed...no fair! freelance is one thing, but signed girls don't need this competition. Supreme has Meghan from Mode already, they clearly have a good relationship.

Did you see the thread for the last contest? They solved that problem by having the finalists from agencies.

Since they don't even ask about hip measurements, it is hard to know how they can pick finalists from blurry pictures.

hmm i freelance with an agency in NYC, but how would they know who's with an agency and who isn't? they never ask that in the submission...i couldn't imagine they research the girls lol

The 'mother' agents outside NY are submitting girls to NY agencies all the time. They talk a lot.
