Vogue Italia April 2015 : Karen Elson & Christopher Niquet by Steven Meisel

I really enjoy the dreamy, cinematic quality of the editorial. I wish the cover had half the charm.

What a stunning editorial. Karen is such a classic beauty.

The cover ed is fantastic actually, Karen is such a star, and she fully embodied "Ginger"-esque dancer here. Some of the shots are truly beautiful.

PS: The entire ed posted on Glossynewsstands

Just when I got bored with VI! As a heavy classic film fan, I couldn't help but blow my load over this. The cover is spectacular!! So theatrical! Every element works for me. It's like he merged noir with classic musicals! Karen was the last girl I had in mind as Ginger, so spectacular casting. The video for this will just be spectacular!
I know people were expecting spring looks and all, but this is storytelling at it's best. Besides, there's always next month.

Simply marvelous. Funny how some people said the cover is dark and depressing, but for me the movies from that period, even being in black & white, were so full of joy and beauty. He captured that perfect here. The lighting and shadow effect is amazing.

The cover's very supplement-issue looking. Great that IV is the only self-indulgent VOGUE still doing their own thing, but-- there is such a thing as being too self-indulgent: Their cover selections always stump me-- it's like they deliberately choose the weakest shot and make it even weaker with the layout. I wonder if it's their statement: Even with weak covers and layout, we're still the best and leading.

Still, Karen will always elevate any shoot and take you there for me; such a stunning-looking woman, and more so as she's aging so beautifully. Edit is lush, dramatic, very cinematic and just elegant. Would have prefer a little more edge and originality with the styling since it's Karl so that it's more modern high fashion and less traditional-- less Hollywood costume-y.

i hate anything theatrical, dance or anything like that related so i guess it's expected this is a total snooze for me :(

hope miles aldridge or camilla akrans has done something else more exciting in the other edits

Karen is one of my favorite models of ALL time! The cover is underwhelming but the editorial is STUNNING! I really love it!

I could care less for that lousy cover.
I'm only here for the beautiful and graceful Karen Elson.

is it weird to get reminded of Bette Davis from All about Eve by this cover?
