Vogue Italia December 2019 : Rebecca Longendyke by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Honestly not hating this. The cover is interesting and I'm liking the preview shots so far.

i actually like it, i agree less blurred background will be better but anything is better than last month cover...

Lots of why in this thread lol...i think it's very easy to throw adjectives fast and then we complain that people think Miranda Priestley it's not only a character when in reality lots of members feel entitled to act the same in this forum....no need to be toxic to express your opinion...

After the last issue, i think it's a big evolution and like it. Rebecca looks beautiful!

WTF?!??!??!! NO DIVERSITY HERE?!?! I’M SO F*CKING PISSED!! EVERYONE SHOULD BE FIRED AND SHAMED!!! SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!!!

I also can’t believe I’m the first one here to call this out for how disgraceful this is. Y’all better check yourselves...really...

^ I mean they're supposed to be a family so I don't see the problem here. Perhaps it's the Eastern European speaking in me.

At least it's an interesting theme, but it follows in Gucci's footsteps instead of setting its own. But I guess even this is a progress.

I literally cannot tell if this is sarcasm or not.

It's sarcasm, of course. Lol.

This cover is as unimpressive as Rebecca's first one. I just don't understand her appeal and that shot with her vacant expression just further my point.
It looks like Farneti tried to recreate VI's storytelling-style of covers and while it's a tolerable attempt so far, it's a shame that it's not visual or strong enough. It just doesn't have the same VI signature as Freja's cover by Ethan. With the right team, they can really run with this aesthetic. Nobody seems to be doing it justice in print anyway.

Bad covers this year, but VI and L'Uomo were very diverse. Something that VP never does...

Every Vogue Italia image (as of late) feels undone.

Benn, you really should post "Ciascuno A Suo Modo". It's the best story in this issue, and a personal fav for its strong composition and layout. If Vogues insist on featuring ordinary-looking individuals, then this is a stylish way to showcase them. The feature story is very good— nothing great, but solid enough. The weakest and most forgettable story here is "MJ In NJ": Just bland and pedestrian, with no style.

If they got rid of the stupid-looking type and admitted how infantile and just plain dumb it looks next to all the HF, replaced it with just simple and clean type, then that would really improve the design aesthetic of this Vogue. (And the inclusion of a wedding supplement is simply plain awful. Looks like the worst of an airline rag production of mid-range department store bridalwear.)
