Vogue Italia December 2019 : Rebecca Longendyke by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Ummm no. She's there, but definitely not present. Next month please, or even better, shut this mess down lol.

It looks like a photo taken during some Chanel Métiers d'Art fashion show or something. I love Rebecca and she looks gorgeous but the cover just isn't working. It's ugly, it's messy, the people behind look so cheap and horrible, especially the girl in tartan that looks like your gothy cousin who hates everyone. It's all way too Vogue Ukraine for me.

Wow, they started this year with the same model. She's gorgeous.

Very Vogue Turkey when they’re trying.

and the cropping is stupid. They could’ve zoomed in more.

but what do we expect from this dead magazine

The editorial looks good. The cover is a missed opportunity - I love the idea, even the image is nice. But it doesn't immediately strike for some reason. Maybe the cropping.

How is this shot by M&M. Totally devoid of their usual style.

Feels more like a Gucci campaign by Glen Luchford.

And why is Nadja playing second fiddle to these nobodies?

I refused to believe they'd use her as a blurry background prop... I mean, they can't be that clueless. But turns out they can, lol

We've been seeing this in Gucci for years now, it's a tired concept even though I kinda like the photographs and the fact that there seems to be a story? It's just not exciting. I really wish they'd either fire the whole team or shut the whole thing down because looking at new Vogue Italia threads hurts my heart.

I love the satirical vibe of this. It looks really good.
