I guess it´s also very Vermeer´s Girl with Pearl Earring...

In the past he referenced Dutch art and Vermeer a lot. I recall this one shot of Coco for US Vogue, with a classic black headscarf, and a bitten peach I think. It was even more more arresting than the original!! Cannot find it now.

^This is probably one of my favourite shots of Coco ever. It's from the September 2007 issue of US Vogue. The editorial is called 'Pat, Inc.' shot by Steven Meisel.

I love it and can't even pinpoint as to why exactly, all I know is that I'll forever be obsessed with Meisel's classic studio shoots. These bunch of girls compliment each other so well and I eagerly await the cover story which looks fabulous from the video.

What a fantastic editorial in it's simplicity. Pair the best models with the best styling and photography and you will definitely have amazing results! Meisel should use his old favorites more often. Karlie, in particular, is a standout here and I'm glad she got that well-deserved front cover.
