So, taking into account it's M&M and the saturation in this pic is heavy, I do like this cover.
Their work is not as cool as when they started (obviously, we have been bomnbarded with their style) but I do appreciate that it looks different from what VP has been doing lately. Anna is a great model and I'm loving those previews.
Miu Miu PVC coat x Anna Ewers, totally appropriate for August cover but the saturation is giving me tired eye. Editorial preview looks gorgeous though.
She is giving face like Natasha, similar expression, red lipstick again but I can hand on heart say I love this. Anna deserves this after playing second fiddle more than once, she's a star and I think she's here to stay. I have only 1 or 2 minor issues, one being it's maybe slightly over saturated and I don't know how I feel about the car being in the background. I'm a fan of the plastic styling though. Question is now who will be for the September cover and will it be another Mert & Marcus cover?
I'm not usually one for a lot of color, but the over-saturation looks stunning on Anna. Very proud of her for getting the VP cover. Love the plastic styling too. I'm not into the pink title text though.. looks good against the blue sky but there's too much red in the cover to look good with that hot pink. Pretty good cover overall though!
I loved the behind the scenes picture that leaked of this, she looked so good, this is so tragic in comparison....but its still one of the best covers of VP in a long time.
I wouldn't go that far and say that it's the best VP cover in a long time, but I do agree that it's a good one. I could have done without the car in the background though, otherwise I like everything here. Anna has achieved so much in such a short period of time! I'm still unsure how to feel about it but kudos to her for managing to look so sultry because it is certainly not given to everyone and she does it well, after all.
I'm not very found of this garish, saturated 80's madness side of Mert & Marcus. But Anna can take the ride, this girl is an absolute force. Can't wait for the full ed.
all these recent M&M "special issues" and shoots, they all look the same to me. be it for VP, W or LOVE, they all seem to blend in at the end of the day. it's not exciting anymore.
Weird abs aside, really graphic, strong, intense color palette and layout worthy of a high fashion cover. It's been few and far between nowadays, that covers don't resemble catalogue shots, so, even though this may not be great-- it's a step in the right direction, and most welcomed.
