^How is that even possible? You would think people would know such a thing ...

Good for you, Carine... you had Liya on the mag 13 years ago. Such a rip off, shame on you Alt!!

Oh Carine, you shady girl you!:lol::lol::lol:

Well it's obviously similar with regards to the model and the wig. I'll wait for the entire editorial and compare it to Carine's to see if it's a blatant copy or not :-)

Having said that, it's not like Carine hasn't taken any inspiration from others' previous work.:rolleyes: This post came out a bit immature imo.

I thought the point of the post was misspelled name (and not Liya getting another cover) ...

While I'm loving this subtle thrown-down, the real shame here is that she couldn't spell Liya's name properly,

.

Well unless Carine thinks that models can only be used once and that she invented black women with an Afro, I can see the similarities, otherwise it's like blaming the model for having the same face.

This cover is so unappealing. Honestly it takes more than a Dior jumpsuit and a gorgeous model to make me wanna buy a magazine. Is the red background supposed to add something to the picture ?

Haha I made a comment on Carine's post saying #whenvoguepariswascool#.

I can really relate to this cover image as sometimes when I go out clubbing with my girlfriends at night and they need to do girly time, sometimes finding the nearest lavatory is not an option.

I wish their scenario was as glamorous as liya's in this cover.

^yup! Imaan Hammam was featured in a Terry editorial also in an Afro

Has she ever featured any women of color on the cover? If my memory serves me correct there have been no asians on the cover either.

Liya Kebede was the first woman of color to grace the cover in 5 years. Also, Issa Lish and Liu Wen where featured inside the magazine (Re: Studio Vogue) but the last Asian cover I think was with the October 2005 one with Gemma Ward and Du Juan

 That was my first thought as well!!

They have changed her name to ''Lyah'':shock: :ninja:
I honestly don't know what to say anymore.
How hard it is to spell her name right??
