Vogue Paris November 2006 : Paris Hilton by Mario Testino

I know this sounds silly but I am really upset about this. My favourite interest in life is fashion. Vogue is the fashion bible. While US might have the mightly Anna behind it and UK is well respected I know that Paris and Italia are actually the ones that count when it comes to models, photographers, trends etc. FASHION in general. I just can't understand why editors want to put people like Paris Hilton are on their covers. HEAT, FHM etc yes but Vogue. I won't be buying this issue if Paris is on the cover.

nanker_phledge is right. I am a huge fan of Vanessa. Can't speak french but I have her album Bliss and it's a beautiful. To hear that Paris has replaced Vanessa is just WRONG. Also whenever there is an acticle in english text fashion mags about French style 90% of the time Vanessa is mentioned whereas Anna Mouglalis and Lou aren't.

John Galliano...well, as I've been disappointed with his collections since the 90s, I don't know if I really like the idea. But it's better to have a designer than a celebrity. I would have wanted someone more interesting though...maybe a female designer. Or Jean-Paul Gaultier.

All this talk is only serving to whet my appetite for the actual issue... I don't know whether to hope for the best or imagine the worst; I just can't wait for the first scan of the November cover.

from what I see in the tf1 report, is that Paris HIlton is doing the cover. and it's a "Special Beauté".

ugh!!! So it's true I was hoping for a miracle - that the Paris talk was just speculation... But I'm still curious about the editorials and I love beauty issues so hopefully there is some good stuff inside.

As per the cover writing, I'd rather have had Tom Ford on the cover than this uninspired shot of Paris Hilton... I don't mind celebrities if magazines do something special, play with their image, but there's no spark in this shot. Let's hope there's enough inside to merit a purchase for clippings' sake, even if the cover disqualifies the issue as a keeper. Huge thanks nonetheless for letting us see it.

I'm confused, the first posts say it is venessa paradis, how come it is paris? Is this a joke of vogue, Paris on paris vogue and nicole richie on vogue italia??

Nicole Richie makes sense on a fashion cover beceause she is fashionable but Paris is a big no...they could've used Anna Mouglalis...it's kinda sad she has not had a Vogue Paris cover yet.
