What to wear when you're a student

Are 'PJs' pyamas? You simply couldn't them outside in Britain...it would be almost as bad as being naked.

I don't wear different things for school - no point.

Now, who says being naked is necessarily bad?
;)
And Crazy K, do you mean pleats, or creases?
But I truly agree with you, no way with the PJ's.
I'd rather throw on a sweatsuit before I'd be caught dead in my Spiderman pajamas.

Well...THE POLICE for a start :P

I've never even thought about this before. I just wear what I always wear. If you want to be comfortable for your tests, do what you're always comfortable doing.

I just dress as I normally do for classes - smart casual... though, I will tend to specifically wear nice fibres, such as a cashmere jumper, on the day of an exam. it feels comfy and that helps to relax me. I also hate being too hot/too cold in exams...

while my uni is quite fashion conscious, most people here do tend to tone it down during the exam diet, though I don't think you'd never see someone show up in pjs or tracksuits.

I have this theory: Dress smart, feel smart, be smart. At least you've made an effort to present yourself well, and evoke a sense of professionalism.

Now all you need to do is make sure you studied the night before.
I seem to ignore this fact 99% of the time.
Oh well, at least I'm sizzlin'.

right on! I agree with these points...I just dress like the way I normally do, don't really dress down for the occasion of exams as I like to look good that way even if I bomb an exam I'm doing it in style. ;)

at my university, everybody wore their usual attire... for the most part. It was pretty mixed. Never many people wearning pajamas at all (thank goodness), but some did go for comfort in oversized sweats or something. Some had jeans and sweaters on, some had dressy outfits on... didn't really matter if it was an exam or not, not too much different.

I know I went a little more casual than normal, so help me... oh well, sometimes you just don't care. When I'm studying 24/7, the last thing on my mind is fashion. Sorry to say. :flower:

I have this theory: Dress smart, feel smart, be smart. Simple, non? Although there are days I'm tempted to go in sweat pants and a shirt, I do my best to avoid it. [But I sure won't deny that there WERE instances where this has happened.] I usually go for a smart V-neck sweater [Argyle, if on hand], and a pair of black slacks, or chinos. Loafers if I feel European, Chuck Taylors if I'm feeling indie-rock. I mean, it's just as simple to throw this stuff on as it is a pair of sweats and a hoodie. At least you've made an effort to present yourself well, and evoke a sense of professionalism.

Now all you need to do is make sure you studied the night before.

   love it!!!

I hate being too cold or too hot so usually I wear layers that I can take off. But basically just jeans and a t-shirt and something over it. If I had a pair of trackpants I'd probably wear them and a tight t-shirt. But a whole tracksuit... Never. I just wouldn't feel comfortable.

I wear jeans most of the time no matter where I am going, so it isnt any different for school or for exams. If I dress down to much I am can't focus, so ESPECIALLY if I have a test I can not wear sweats or pajamas. I only wear that stuff when I am sick, or seriously depressed.

I always wear sweatpants and sweatshirts to class, I roll outta bed brush my teeth and run to class because I'm usually late, especially this year. It's my last year of college and I really don't care anymore, my first years, I would always dress up nice. HA!

From hs up untill now ( third year of college) .. seems this way with my friends and myself .. we start the school year out with intentions to be dressed for class, do our hair and makeup yadda yadda.... that lasts about three weeks tops then we just break into the track pants, gym shoes/flip flops, tshirt and a hoodie, just makes it more comfy in class, take hoodie off you have a pillow for those quick naps in the libary

I got over the flannel pants/sweat pants to school stage after senior year.. since that was pretty much all I wore .. with a tshirt and flipflops, change into gymshoes for gym class..

 its sad when you own more track pants then jeans and work pants combined.. and hoodies?! half my walkin is hoodies or zipperups ..

Oh haha and to go back on topic.. Exam time.. I'm usally just trying to rush out the door to make it to leture/lab on time so its jeans/track pants and a hoodie.. or if its lab, jeans -chef jacket- and a baseball cap .. hah a

I like jeans and an oversized T (but not so oversized that its unflattering).

LOL the other day I wore a suit to an exam...i thought it would be good luck, and I think I did pretty well on the exam. I might have to start doing that from now on.

loose fitting stretch jeans and oldest, softest, most washed and loved tee. lucky underpants and socks don't hurt either.

what are you wereing to school.
