I agree, especially the tees and the knits! BUT all of their stuff is so beautiful .

I used to be one of those who avoided Zara because of the low quality, but I've learned to identify pieces that are well made. So I guess you just have to be really careful and inspect the item before making a purchase. I've seen really cute thing that I just don't buy because I know they'll fall apart. But I also have other pieces that I wear and wash all the time and they still look great.

I bought a cozy knit, pair of pants and few shirts from zara and guess what?
those shirts are messed up after

ONE WASH
!!!!!!!!!

This has happened before too. Even tough I wash them in right way etc.
I cannot even image what will happen to the pants and knit when I wash them first time.
Anyone have same experiences?

Zara is so overrated, overpriced and bad quality.
and the costumer service is so bad.

I will never ever buy anything from there.
Altough the bags I own are still in good shape...so, I will buy only bags.

I am so sorry to hear this, Jenna-maria. Hope they'll refund you. And I agree with you that zara's quality is going down hill.

I went to zara yesterday but came home empty handed.

yes, but I still will avoid buying anything (except bags) from Zara. I hate that I have spend so much money (Zara is quite expensive) for clothes that did not survive after that one wash. Maybe I was stupid buying those clothes but they seemed to be good material.

NO THEY DID NOT REFUND ME!!!!
They did not believe that I was washing the clothes right way.
Their costume service is so bad and stuff there are not nice.
They do not smile, do not look you into eyes and are quite angry-ish actually.

so, no Zara for me!

HAHAH sorry, I had to get this out from my chest.
I know people who loves Zara and their clothes has stayed in good shape so not everything is so bad. I just don´t shop there anymore.

i just orderd some stuff online (for the first time), so how long does the shipping (to germany) usually take? :flower:

^ Ooo love the leather trimmed blazer. I was eying that yesterday. Great buys :flower:.

I just got a pr. of amazing platform ankle booties for $109. Exceptionally well-made look like they should retail for hundreds more!

I'm sorry that happened to you :( I agree that quality in Zara can be very hit-and-miss. Which shirts were they, tees or button-downs, and what happened in the wash? Just wondering, as I'm eyeing some of their shirts atm. :flower:

You know what really annoys me? Whenever I go shopping in my town I feel like everything is either too cheap or way too expensive. Zara used to be great because they were not that expensive and had nice stuff but now they're way overpriced and I really don't see how they can justify charging €250 for yeti boots and €50 for a cheap top that will fall apart even when you just try it on. I wish they would work on improving the quality of their items because I refuse to buy anything there at the moment because it always leaves me frustrated how quickly it all becomes useless crap.

shirts didn´t keep their shape and something wierd happened to the fabric...
:blink::(
I really did wash by the rules, so if the product would have been good nothing of that would have happened!

AGREE!!!!

Never had a problem with Zara before, I guess it just depends on what you buy. Even the cheap items Ive got have survived for years...seriously. Ive never thrown away anything from Zara. Not my sister or bf either...

BTW the leather trimmed blazer is really cute! :flower:

about a year ago i bought 2 sweaters and after one HAND wash they looked like crap.... one was 50euros, and i cannot remember how much was the second... on the other hand, everything i got from HM is still wearable, even few things bought 3,4 yrs ago!
so zara is highly overpriced, compared to quality... and i cannot wear their shoes, they are so uncomfy....

you really have to check the material used before purchasing at Zara.
For example, a lot of their knitwear look fantastic, but is 100% acrylic, which means will not look good after washing.
Also the basic knitwear (sweaters, cardigans and turtlenecks) that comes back every season has difference in material used and price. The sweaters at 14,99euro (acrylic) are not to be compared with those of 79euro (cashmere-wool blend).

I agree on that some pieces are really overpriced.
But most shoppers at Zara are aware of the price-quality ratio, I'm sure the 250 euro Yeti-boots will not fly off the shelves very soon.
Also most of their blazers are overpriced. So I always wait till the sales season for buying blazers at zara. Somehow thier blazers have small sizes that fit me surprisingly well.

I've never had any problems either... I have this one plaid shirt from Zara that I bought in Milan in 2009 and it's still like new. My other Zara pieces have also survived from wash and are still in very good condition. I usually stay away from the Finnish Zara stores since they are so messy: clothes on the floor, dirty floors, really not a cutomer friendly environment that would make me want to go back (same goes to the Stockholm store :innocent:)

cant agree more, well, i think i would just buy their shoes....
we need to be careful of what we buy, check for the quality

One of my favourite cotton white shirt was bought from Zara. The cotton is soft and of excellent quality and although I lost count of how many times it has been washed it still looks as good as new!! Also have a couple of blazers from Zara and the quality is as good as the quality of some blazers from good well known brands.

I agree with Vegalyn, at Zara you better check the material before you buy, there are great pieces mixed with some not so good ones.

I don't have that many clothes from Zara, still most of them are knitwear (basics). They have stretched with time (in 1-2 years), but for the price I paid I didn't expect too much, so I was fine with it. I also have some cotton t-shirts that changed their shape a lot and that only after few washes.
Lately I've been lusting for many knits, they are all so pretty  I'd better check them again and carefully before buying..

A while ago I bought these shoes:

and a few days ago a warm cozy sweater from the knitwear collection. It's very big but I like it, it's so warm! It was only 40 euro's but I hope it doesn't loose its shape...
