I really really hope Jane wins. Ugh, so gorgeous in post #3835.
They should let a "normal" girl win this season! Someone who doesn't have a kid, isn't an alcoholic, and whatever other sob story there is in ANTM history. I want someone that I can relate to too Tyra!!!

^I was gonna post that to, it looks amazing, even though technically Kayla is in the water. Someone made a solo one of Kayla as well which looked better than any VI cover I've seen this year.

she is jumping out of the water and is still looking fierce...

I don't get wanting a winner --Jane- who looks just like every other model out right now. In a way I can see why Tyra tries to shake things up. I'm tired of bland indistinguishable models.

Thank you!!

Agree with that

Granted I'm a guy, but seriously, can't you just get a normal girl win, without any sob story? My friends were all taking, and though ANTM isn't exactly the place to find role models, we felt that a lot of young girls and maybe guys too do look up to some of these shows, and for god's sake, not everyone out there is having a life threatening disease, or having unprotected sex and having children.

The last 'normal' girl to win, in my opinion was Cycle 5's Nicole, and Cycle 6's Dani, both of which looked like models, managed to find decent jobs as models, and are continuing modeling. And Cycle 13's Nicole too, although she was a special case.

P.S I apologize of some parts of this appears harsh. It's not my intention to belittle young moms in any way.

I just watched the first episode again and I cant believe that somehow they managed to discover girls that all belong on IMG's Board (Rihanna, Anamaria, Kendal (omg), Jane and Chelsey) and somehow we're down to Kayla, Ann, Chris and Liz, no disrespect to them, they're great girls but I mean this is a MODELLING competition. Kendall to me is the most beautiful African girl I've ever seen, second only to Jourdan Dunn. Kendal> Chanel Iman, Aminata, Melodie Monrose etc in my opinion. Ugh, can't believe she was sent home, she's 23 so I hope she gets signed in New York quickly, every time I see her I think she should be walking down a YSL runway. Rant over (for now).

Kendal has stated in her post-show interviews that she's going to start in Atlanta. I am hoping that she walks into the Factor Atlanta office, gets signed, and then is promptly sent to New York to do the go rounds with agencies there.

i agree Kendall was something special.. she really needed some development.. and by development I don't mean vague suggestions "be more alive! ... show more personality!!"

Yeah, you know I'm not necessarily looking at the show like "I want someone that I can relate to" - that was me partly joking because I feel Tyra is always preaching or the contestants are that they are someone "that other teen moms can relate to", etc. And now it's just tiring. I honestly don't give a crap about what these models have to cry about in their past. Yeah, bad things happen. MOVE ON. NO ONE CARES. I don't understand what's the entertainment value of a girl crying every episode about their problems?
Maybe I'm being too harsh as well? :p I don't know, I guess watching season after season girls crying about the same story just is tiresome and it annoys me to say the least...

oh & I agree about Kendall. She was really gorgeous, it was disappointing to see her get sent home so early.

Kendall is beautiful, agreed. But she can't model. How do you guys expect her to win a modeling competition if she's not any good at it? I think she should've stayed on longer, sure, but the girl could not model well.

well i still think girls who look like models who can't model are > girls who can model but don't look like models

or in Tyra's words nouns > verbs... Kendall > Chris.

I think Kendall possibly could have worked it out with some more coaching, but in all honestly she got kicked out for being unable to portray a 60 year old asian woman.

This show is really not a good barometer of whether a contestant is a good model. Tyra chooses the photos; no one else gets to see the final product. I seriously doubt we saw Kendal's best pictures.

Exactly. She's pretty but she's not going to stand out of the crowd once she gets out into the industry; if she were our winner.

this. totally.

im sorry guys but I was never a fan of Kendall. I did think she was gorgeous. But I just didn't like the pics she took. I am curious to see her post ANTM work. Maybe that will sway me?

Wait for her post ANTM work. I'll definitely post what I find, and she said she would look at agencies in Atlanta. I'm betting you'll change your mind once she takes photos with actual guidance for an agency that will select her best photos for viewing.
