Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

^Thank you for the new pictures, and for resolving the mystery about the pic I was puzzled about. In the work pictures she appears to be giving the directions for herself and the other girl. There is an article on the Daily Mail website about Kate's ostensible resume. It's a bit mean, but funny. I couldn't help laughing. They also did "resumes" for Charles, Camilla, William, and Harry, and Edward too, and sent the resumes out using faux names and had critiques by HR people. As I said, it was mean, but funny too. I couldn't help chuckling. :p

And in the course of things, another assortment of pictures:

yeah I never thought that jacket was too tight. She did look good at that wedding.

wtf is going on above. I normally wouldn't be so harsh on people about their style, but her closet literally baffles me. She has access to great stores in London and I'm sure money to purchase at least a couple interesting items and yet her clothes aren't flattering nor can I figure out where she could even buy them. That shirt looks like it's from 1993. With an oddly low u-neck and then the sleeves hit right at her mid-upper arm. Seriously - who is producing shirts like that now?! A lot of the stuff she wears really makes me think of the 90's. A lot of her casual outfits as well. It's like she's stuck in an episode of Friends or something. She looks great when she wears those Issa dresses that I know she likes - wear those all the time. It annoys me how that piece of garbage the Daily Mail touts her as some sort of style icon (which to be fair, she never comes across as pretending she is) but at the same time, for the social group she is trying to fit into, what she's wearing isn't even right! I need to email her or something with suggestions, if only so I don't have to look at any more bad style pictures.

^Actually, there doesn't seem much, if any difference between how she dresses and how the girls who hang out with her dress. Assuming those girls hanging out with her are "from the social group she's trying to fit into", it looks like she is dressing like them. For better or worse, I guess.

So Kate is on Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List for 2008:

KATE MIDDLETON Because we’re throwing her hats in the ring. Residence: London. Age: 26. Significant other: H.R.H. Prince William. Signature look: Tailored jackets, boots, and Philip Treacy hats. Frequented boutiques: Ralph Lauren and Topshop. Sunglasses: Chanel. Notable 2008 ensemble: Black suit and Philip Treacy hat worn to the Order of the Garter service.

^Surprising pick for the "notable 2008 ensemble". I don't know what I would have picked but probably not that one.

^The only thing that I can think of would be the salmon pink Issa gown. Other than that, I can't think of a single 'notable' outfit.

^My pick would have been the short pink dress for the wibble event. But yeah I agree nothing other than that was "notable."

Haha well the media likes to hype her, because the more they hype her now, the more potential profits they can generate when royal wedding fever comes on. It's scary because usually when there's hype hype hype, there's a point where it busts. You can only build up so much pressure in a balloon before that sh-- pops.

I guess this is fashion news...

Issa that a freebie frock, Kate? There's an awful lot of giveaway dresses in Brazil for designer's 'muse'

As one of the most photographed women in the world, fashion houses everywhere have been desperately fighting to get Kate Middleton into their creations.

But it seems Kate has now put an end to the frantic scramble – by clearly opting for Issa as her label of choice.

Prince William’s 26-year-old girlfriend is so closely affiliated with the label of Brazilian designer Daniella Issa Helayel that she is being treated as an unofficial muse.

Kate enjoys a VIP service from the firm and receives a complimentary wardrobe, with ‘bag-loads’ of Issa frocks being sent to her home.

‘Kate must have thousands of pounds worth of gifted dresses,’ said a source.

‘Issa is incredibly generous with her.’

Miss Middleton, who is known for her conservative yet stylish sense of fashion, chose an Issa outfit for Peter Phillips’s recent wedding, giving the brand invaluable publicity.

The eye-catching label is stocked at exclusive department stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols, where the clothes retail from £400 for a short printed frock to £1,000 for a full-length gown.

Kate wore a white ‘Lucky’ dress from Issa to Wimbledon and has the style in every colour.

She was also draped in Issa when she appeared on the newspaper front pages in a stunning floor-length £1,000 coral gown at the Boodles charity Boxing Ball in June.

Issa, which counts Madonna, Sharon Stone and Scarlett Johansson as clients, already has Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed’s daughter Camilla as its muse, but fashion sources say Kate is being seen as an ‘unofficial ambassador’.

Issa not only sends items to her Chelsea home, but Kate is also a regular client at its top-floor studios in Fulham, West London.

The source said: ‘Issa is one of Kate’s favourite labels and she is always at its offices choosing dresses. They also courier bag-loads of frocks to her house for her to try on in her own time. There is no limit on what she is allowed to take.

‘Daniella is a very flamboyant and lovely woman and an incredibly sharp business person. She knows the value of having celebrities step out in her label and Kate is very much on Issa’s A-list.
‘Kate gets sent so many clothes from other labels but many go back unworn. Her taste is quite classic and that’s why she goes for Issa’s print wrap dresses. She loves their floor-length gowns for black-tie events. She’s a size six and the dresses all look great on her.

'She often lets her sister Pippa wear them, too. When Issa sent her the floor-length pink gown to wear to the Boodles do, she absolutely loved it and knew it would be a showstopper.

‘Kate actually loves all the attention of being photographed and she knew she’d steal the show in that gown. It worked – she outshone everyone in the room, even Chelsy Davy.’

Kate, who is currently helping with her parents’ internet party-planning business, has told friends she is keen to move into the fashion industry but she has yet to get a job.

She has not worked since she quit as a fashion accessories buyer for High Street chain Jigsaw last November.

The Queen has advised William that it would be favourable for Kate to have a career in place before they announce an official engagement.

It is understood that Kate has been offered an ambassadorial role by a London-based fashion house although Issa last night denied it had approached Kate to work for it.

Daniella Issa Helayel said: ‘Kate is not an ambassador for Issa. We love it and are very flattered that Kate wears Issa.

'We do have some friends in common, but that’s as far as it goes at the moment. She’s a private client and we never make any comment on our private clients.’

A spokesman for Clarence House declined to comment.

sorry but i dont find them that cute of a dress that i would wear them everyday.

Ugh. If she's being offered free clothes from other designers as well, why not just take them up on it? She has so much potential! I'd love to see her in McQueen or Stella even. Also, how cool would it be if she supported up and coming British designers?

Yeah I don't see why she isn't taking advantage more of other freebies. Usually girls like that get a steady stream of new handbags and clothes just sent to them...I have a hard time believing she is though since Kate isn't photo'd daily.

cause she isn't photo'd daily,LUXX? i thought she was named the most photo'd girl in Britain or something? in any case i bet she gets free stuff cause of Will
