Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

I think she looks best here, more natural. When she's done up with the feathered fascinators, it looks too old-fahsioned. She likes whipping that hair though!

^ These look like photographs from a late 1980s catalogue. I really do wonder whether her outfits are being chosen by the Queen's or Camilla's aides.
Apparantely, atleast the red coat is from her own wardrobe.

I actually like the past two outfits. She looks really wonderful at their first royal duty. The red outfit is okay, I think it would better with opaque tights and a pair of black pumps.

love this!

turtle neck?

Seriously? The turtle neck is Murphy Brown, circa 1991.
There has to be a better way.

I think it looks sophisticated...we turtleneck wearers are timeless- beyond fashion...! ^_^

I am glad you said that....such a lot of nonsense here....

How is it nonsense that some people on tfs dislike her style? this is a fashion forum and I personally am going to be honest about her [lack] of style since that's the main thing I can properly judge her on, not being in a position to know about the ins and outs of her life.
Just look at the way she dresses. The recent outfit is actually ridiculous. She has an amazing figure, is young and pretty and yet she dresses so stodgy and old. She is not a style icon and a few media publications having said so is simply embarrassing.

I love this outfit. Red is a great color on her and I LOVE the belt with the bow. I agree about the boots though. They are fine for off duty, but not necessarily for official functions. At least she is showing she can be resourceful though and not spend tons of money on clothes. People will admire her for that.

IMO the hating on the way Kate dresses on this forum goes beyond her clothes. Some people here don't like her for reasons that have nothing to do with her fashion and it's pretty obvious. We are all entitled to our opinions, but it is annoying to read page after page of negative comments.

Ok here we go..... First of all this red suit is horrible. I could find better, more modern looking suits at Forever21!! This looks like it's from the bargain bin of a Goodwill store and those boots. Ugh, she will never get that they're horrible, drop them Kate. A pair of black pumps would have been so much better.

Now, her first engagement outfit. I liked the coat and that was it. The boots were horrible and that headpiece thing was beyond ugly. It was fugly. Whoever advised her to wear it was insane.

And my last pet peeve is her constant hair pushing...god woman, if you have to push your hair out of your face every 3 second then wear a proper hat or put it back in a nice bun or something. What would have made the red dress a bit better would have been if she wore a red pill box hat. Or a jaunty little thing for the boat christening. Not this horrible feather thing.

prince william, prince harry and kate middleton at the new zealand high commission to sign the book of condolence. london, britain - 25 feb 2011

God I love her b*tch face.

Ashcott- I sadly think those are new boots.

that red suit looks soooo old, like she had in the back of her closet over the past years and today pulled it out again.......how boring. she really could have done better!

wish there was a shot of the dress underneath. I don't get sheer tights. The connotations for them are 80s fashions or matronly style.

Not a bad look as a whole, I even think the boots go
