Catherine has been papped shopping for groceries quite a few times. I gather she and William live a pretty low-key existence when they're in Wales and he's working. I doubt she buys groceries when they're in London at Kensington Palace but it doesn't surprise me that she does while they're off duty.

Those photos of her at the checkout are very intrusive...At least the shots we've gotten previously have been in the carpark, where everything is bagged and private!

I showed my mother these pictures and she said the strangest yet possibly truest thing ever. She said that Catherine is probably shopping in the supermarket because she wants to feel like she's still a commoner, trying to convince herself that she's "normal". Isn't that strangest thing ever?

I guess I don't see the appeal since I am not British. It's bad enough when I have to shop at Sainbury's or Morrison and even the Borough Market can have some questionable items at times (wll forever remember a sort of green meat )

Seems like she has found her downtime winter style, practical and unfussy. It suits her a lot.

I have to agree Tesco's food is terrible - cheap yes but terrible . I'd rather shop at Waitrose or Marks & Spencer and even Sainsbury's they are more expensive but the food is much better.

I know that she lives on a small Island on the coast of Wales so there probably is only one supermarket there so I will cut her some slack for shopping at Tesco's .

Really? , Ok then I take back what I said about cutting her some slack . Its not like she needs to watch the pennies, if it was me I would would choose Waitrose everytime ( I agree its OT).

I think she was actually trying to go unnoticed. Who goes 18 miles from home to do grocery shopping if it's not to avoid a particular situation?

But still..Tesco...That being said she used to shop there when shortly after leaving university (and at Uni too )

I read somewhere that there are Waitrose, Tesco and other little shops near to where they live. For security reasons, they don't shop at just one shop, they try to shop at different locations. That does make sense from a security point of view.

Wasn't she also seen shopping at Wilkinsons once too? Maybe she likes Tesco then! She seems to be a price conscious princess. That's part of what I like about her seems like she's trying to stay as true to "commoner"and herself. I don't mind the possible stylist's help with style upgrade though!!

If it were a publicity stunt or she were some attention w**re we'd see pics of her every day like the other middleton sister or doing things more interesting than grocery shopping.

i think if anything, there's been less of her around.
