There is nothing comparable between Diana and Kate. First, Kate has no charisma, unlike Di.
Second, she doesn't wants to be loved by the public in the way Diana wanted. Kate is emotionally stable and normal, she doesn't need to seek public approval to feel good about herself (or so I gather from her attitude).
So imo she will never be as big a star as Diana because she just doesn't have the star quality and because she doesn't want to be anyway.
Sometimes pics of celebs looking like fools or in a state of distress sell for more because you can make up dramatic headlines with them.
Remember when those L.A. starlets used to hide behind their bags? It never decreased the interest for them. Recent pics of Sienna Miller placated against an elevator sold very well too, etc.
Fact is, these two, regardless of how boring they are, will always be pictured. They are not going to make the paps go away by acting like twats, so why not use a little decorum?
